Found this newspaper article from 27 August 1988. The age matches up with her. If it is the same person she was arrested in 1988 in Mississippi. The money involved is quite substantial. Hard to know for sure, and LE would have these details if it is her? Could she have gone into witness protection?

The article I found was in the Harrisburg American, Mississippi but it mentions Alabama so It not clear.

Re reading the Walls vs State it is from the earlier arrest. The newspaper made it sound a recent arrest.

Bump.
Family trees on Ancestry give her missing date as November 1989 so possibly there was some contact later than the 1987 date, which would fit with the later court records. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama on 22 December 1960.
