It's curious that in both cases (Robyn and Nancy) there were possible sightings in Alaska... and in both it was a teacher who saw them. Nancy was spotted in Anchorage, while there's no specific location in Robyn's sighting, just Alaska.

That certainly is interesting @Diane Redfern The teacher probably isn't around anymore. Is there more to know about him?

It would be great to know something about those teachers and the presumed sightings... and the specific location of Robyn's sighting.
It's curious that if you google Robyn Pettinato teacher, there's a teacher on LinkedIn named Robyn Pettinato.

Just trying to look up things about what kind of town Whitefish was back when Robyn went missing in July 1975. I came across this very interesting article about some odd changes, new businesses starting and influx of all kinds of people in July 1976. It just made me wonder if some of the changes in the town's atmosphere, the works being done in town, accounted for more out of the area strangers coming to work on these projects during the time frame that Robyn went missing? Just some thoughts

That is very odd. I think the teacher should be looked at more closely.

Voelker said he pursued a lead years later when a local teacher took a trip to Alaska and swore she talked to Robin in a bar in Alaska.

“I interviewed the teacher extensively and we got in contact with an Alaska trooper,” Voelker recalled. “He did everything and could find nothing.”
