I wonder about the location being kept private. Strange.

Are LEO's trying not to link the three with Abby for some reason? If so, why??

My personal opinion has to do with race as much as anything else. The other three were mixed race from what I can tell. All 4 had drug issues and some of the 3 we linked to prostitution. I have tried to come up with a reason to keep Abby separate form the other 3 other than LE’s comment that she wasn’t “on the street”. I can only assume that is referencing prostitution. There are definitely more similarities between them than differences imo.

I apologize for the previous post, I posted on the wrong thread.

Unidentified body found in Salisbury, Rowan County, NC possibly linked to a missing person case: http://www.wccbcharlotte.com/2017/11/01/body-found-rowan-county-possibly-linked-missing-person-case/

The location is about 2.5 hours drive from Lumberton: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Lum...08736e2b453538!2m2!1d-80.4870085!2d35.6424119

This says that they were following up on a musing persons case from May. Abby went missing in Sept. Hopefully, someone’s family will have answers though soon.

If it's Abby, why Salisbury? Did she have friends there? Did she just want to get back out in the world, away from L'ton? Or was this a kill and take the body away from the murder site? A long ride for that, and Lumberton has a river running through it for miles and easy access to it; there are swampy areas there, too.

If not Abby, some other family will face a horrible tragedy, as so many others have.

I missed the part about May when I posted so I'm guessing it's not Abby. Her case seems to have gone quiet. I hope LE is still actively working to find her.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/11/0...10k-reward-offered-in-missing-woman-case.html

The Robesonian newspaper reported that an increased reward of $10,000 is being offered for any tips leading to the location of Patterson, who had just been released from a drug rehabilitation center at the time of her disappearance.

A local chicken-processing facility is adding $5,000 to the reward money already being offered by the woman's family, Patterson's sister, Sandy Bryan, told the newspaper.

"We know she's not out there by choice," Bryan said. "She talks to my mom every day, and we haven’t heard from her since (she was seen getting into the Buick)."

In earlier articles, it was mentioned that the FBI was assisting Lumberton LE in the search. This article makes it seem more like the FBI has taken over the search operation. The article was in my daily Bing news feed this morning so I thought I'd add it. If it's old info, just disregard it.

No, there seems to be a lot of new articles out in the past few hours about them putting out a new poster and stepping up efforts. Thank you fo sharing.

So glad to see movement on this case! Praying they find Abby soon.

Can anyone give me insight into why the FBI suddenly becomes involved in cases like this? New evidence? Local LE incompetence?

My understanding is that if there is not federal jurisdiction, they can be called in to investigate violations of specific state laws (missing persons cases, serial killers, felony killing law enforcement officer) if their assistance is requested by local/state law enforcement.

I live in this area. The site she went missing from is known Folk territory and drug houses.

What is "Folk territory"? I don't know that term -- Thanks, and
