Missing woman last seen six months ago, Asheville police say

The Asheville Police Department is searching for a woman who has been missing for months.

Officers said Caroline Cain was last seen on Woodfin Street in February 2024. She was reported missing on June 17.

Cain is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall and 240 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

She is known to frequent downtown Asheville and Jackson County, investigators said. Her family is concerned for her welfare.

The Asheville Police Department is requesting the public's help in locating a missing woman, Carolina Cain.

Cain is said to be know to frequent the downtown Asheville area and Jackson County, according to a release from APD.

There was a custody action filed against a Caroline Cain in North Caroline in late 2023, with custody claim granted February 14, 2024, the day before the missing woman was last seen. But without a full name or date of birth it's unknown if it's the missing Caroline. Looks like one couple filed a custody claim against Carolyn C. and a man (I assume the child's father). The name of one of the plaintiff's is the same last name of Ms. Cain's co defendent so I assume it's a relative who filed. custody. eCourts Portal Again, not certain it's the missing woman as it's not that unusual of a name.
