Have they ever sent an email to news stations asking for help to find Erica?

Or thanking them for continuing to cover Erica (who they want to find so this can all go away)? Or thanking the one local new org that has the FB page on Erica Updates?

I hope CP keeps flapping her gums. Maybe one day LE will be able to use some of her public statements in court against her.

It seems to be that CasP loves to argue technicalities, loopholes and semantics....all to her advantage, of course. This type of lifestyle must be emotionally exhausting, not just for those around her, but for Casey herself. And when the bough breaks, where does the cradle fall? Into a bubbling, stinking, putrid cesspool of lies and self-made catastrophes. Poor Erica. :(

"I also worked until 2001. At that time my health started getting bad."

But..but....refresh me someone- but isn't that before she did the tube reversal and then the surrogacy?

oh oh oh
Amy Miller says she hired Casey Parsons to carry her child August 2001.

y'all know where i am going with that...sigh

What I want to know is did Amy Miller know that Casey's health took a turn for the worse when she hired her as a surrogate?

Yep, Surrogate was in 2001, Reversal was in 2003
.

If I recall correctly, with both SS and Medicaid Benefits, you must sign a form annually with the amount you spent on the child. My son received SS benefits and every year, SS sent the form with the amount he received, and every year, I had to sign under penalty of perjury that I spent that amount on him.

CP is making this stuff up as she goes along. Not very bright. But, keep talking. She is her own worst enemy.

OT but no fair showing Taco Bell adds here coz in Australia we don't have it and I want it lol

Wow, CP is super knowledgable about exactly what circumstances enable you to keep getting checks for a child who no longer lives with you. :(

Unfortunately, if the info she quoted is accurate, it sounds like it may have been legal for them to keep receiving the checks. (At least in their claimed fantasy scenario of Erica living "out of home" but rights not terminated.) I'm sorry to say so, but don't shoot the messenger.

It's very striking, though, that their explanation of her disappearance does fit the terms of what would legally enable them to keep collecting checks. Almost like they researched it after the first time they sent her away and then got worried about the checks.

Not necessarily! In that article, in CPs response she quotes the 'special' paragraph. In that paragraph it states that they can still get the money because they are providing financial support for the child ie: clothing and necessities. Also for general maintenance/upkeep on the home. However there was nothing belonging to Erica found in the home during the warranted search. Therefore, the home wasn't being maintained for Erica, nor were they providing any financial assistance or clothing for her. They can't, they don't know where she is! So unless that money was left sitting untouched in an account all this time, they are guilty of fraud. I am super curious to know if they are claiming her as a dependent on their taxes. The rules there are very specific. JMO

If Casey and Scott Parsons are still legally responsible for Erica Parsons, are the not legally responsible for immediately reporting her disappearance to authorities?! I mean the moment that Nan shut off her phone and disappeared?

JMO but the courts/adoption agency need to immediately sever their adoption of Erica so that those checks stop coming in!

From the NC code linked in CP's email:
There have been many situations where a child has returned to the adoptive home after realizing that many of his beliefs about the birth families were fantasies.

Maybe it's just me, but what strange wording for an official document! Is the condescending pathos necessary?

Though while we're on the topic of unraveling birth family fantasies, at least Casey will soon be feeling right at home at the women's Federal Correctional Institution in beautiful and sunny Butner, NC! It's like.. if only she paused the backpedaling and spent even a second trying to convince us Erica was ever cared for or appreciated in any way. Every single "she's fine, she's safe, what's the problem?" merely confirms this was never the case. At that age it would be a struggle for my mom not to drive up and down the street with a megaphone if I didn't text her upon my safe arrival at a movie theater one mile away. If the person I was staying with on a farm hours away suddenly deleted their Facebook and ceased contact like Nan I assume search and rescue teams would be dropping from helicopters onto every suspected horse in the tri-state area. worst case scenario thinking comes with maternal instinct, IMO.

Maybe I'm being unduly harsh on her and SP but for some reason this case makes it the hardest for me to put aside my emotions. Thanks for putting up with them.

^bettie- nope you aren't harsh, tame in fact. I think many of us are appalled at the, umm, cavalier attitude?

Yep, Surrogate was in 2001, Reversal was in 2003
.

I wonder if the true intent of the reversal was to actually have more kids to keep. After having kids so much older they decide to start again? What if Casey thought she could have her own kids and 'adopt' them out since the surrogacy didn't go over as well as she had hoped. For whatever reason, she did not go through with adopting the kids out? Or, maybe they haven't quite gotten to the age she needs them at to do that, like around 13?? My mind is really going far-fetched right now.

Erica's Medicaid card was seized in the search warrant for the house, along with a birth certificate and SS card. Presumably the birth certificate and SS card would also have belonged to Erica, otherwise there was no reason I know of to take those things into custody.
If they knew Erica was going to stay with "Nan" permanently how would she have been able to take care of Erica without any of those documents and no paperwork giving her custody of Erica? Again, this was completely a BS story.

Yeah, I believe that too. What else is she going to say that makes her look like she gives a rip?
