Having seen the photos of MM and TM in the police station and outside the house that night, if they cleaned themselves up so that the emergency services that night could clearly see that neither of them needed medical treatment. If that was not clear could emergency services have insisted on them having medical treatment which could have involved getting a blood sample from them, this could have shown what medications if any MM was on. Her mental issues were only made available to the Judge at sentancing.

It is a shame that bloods were not taken from both of them but what is curious for me is the 911 call lasted until paramedics entered the room, this is clearly evident on the 911 call. So when exactly did they wash all that blood off themselves. Did they both make a quick exit to the bathroom before Law Enforcements arrived and then conveniently forget about it.

I will look for a link but paramedics who attended that night seemed to think that JC may have died up to an hour earlier.

This was a year before Jason's death

I am curious to know why she was still using a Tenn. drivers license. NC requires you to get a NC license within 30 days of moving here. I was under impression that they bought the house in NC shortly after getting married. Also with the money they obviously had, why was she out in a car with expired tags? Also in her maiden name.

I don't know if this link is up already, but here's a piece by Ralph Riegel in the Independent:

Here's one line I find intriguing - anyone else heard of this before?
"A single clue emerged when, in examining her medical records from a Kernersville clinic, there was a reference to a check for fertility issues."

Also, re. the supposed 'school art project' - was any attempt made to contact the school to check?
Though probably not, since they'd have been on holidays for at least a month...

This explains it. Given the blood on the pillow and bedding, I'm of the opinion that he was hit while sleeping. Learning now that he was drugged, that makes even more sense. Father and daughter drugged him, lined up with a metal baseball bat and hit him over the head. He must have tried to get out of the bedroom, but the blow to the head probably made it impossible for him to make the right decisions. They then finished him off. How could they possibly have imagined that they could claim custody of the children after such a vicious attack on the father? They are both completely delusional.

"Mr Corbett died just over three weeks before that planned party. Traces of the powerful sedative Trazedone were found in his system - a drug prescribed for his wife just two days beforehand on July 30."

The body was cold when paramedics arrived, so the assumption was that they delayed one hour before calling for help. They probably used that time to get their stories straight.

That is a good question. He bought her a five thousand square foot NC house, a BMW SUV, and gave her eighty thousand dollars to buy furniture. It seems that it was not a two way street - she registered her vehicle in TN, suggesting that she was not all that involved in the marriage. It's not surprising that he would not sign his children over to her if she wouldn't even sign the car to the residence.

Oh you're right, sorry my bad. I'm still curious about why she was driving around at 4 am.

Yes, and why did she still have a Knoxville, TN address? (Mommy and Daddy's?). She had been married to Jason for three years, already.

It looks more and more like Jason was genuinely in the marriage, having given her parents 45 thousand dollars for the wedding, sharing banks accounts with her, the house, the car, the money for furniture, and she doesn't even share an address with him. My impression is that from the outset she wanted children - and his children were good enough.

It looks like she recognized him as a perfect, vulnerable victim, manipulated him into moving to NC, into marrying her, and the final act was to adopt the children. Had she succeeded, she would very likely have divorced him, taken the children, and most of his money. When she realized that he was not going to let go of the children, she decided that she would be more successful if he was dead - and so she and her father drugged him and attacked him while he slept. After the murder, she sent adoption papers to Ireland. That didn't work. Then she launched into a full on custody battle.

That sounds like a lot of expense for a person in their 30's. How much money did Jason make??
5,000 square feet for 4 people - why???? I would hate to clean that big of a house. Why did Molly want a house that big ?? I would love to have $80,000 furniture budget. Goes to show you that some people you can never please.

Whoa Nellie, 45k for a wedding!!! I thought her dress was beautiful but geez.

I have been living in Ireland for the past 15 years, spent the previous 14 odd years in the UK, but my driving licence is still UK with my old UK address on it. I am supposed to get it changed but never really got around to it, don't want to either as my UK driving licence takes me up to age 70 but if I change to Irish it only lasts for 10 years.

It looks to me like she gave her maiden name and parents address to the officer who stopped her so her husband wouldn't find out. That's why I'm curious as to what she was up to at 4am.

I'd imagine the reason JC arrived in the States cash rich is that he sold up all his assets - house, car, etc - in Ireland before he emigrated.

And he may have been the beneficiary to a life insurance policy on Mags. Nothing sinister there. When my husband and I took out our first mortgage we had life insurance policies drawn up so that if one died the other would be able to keep the home for the family.

Hello all, new poster here. Like many, I've been following this case from the outset, but I've only discovered this forum in the past week. A lot of reading to catch up! And I admire the tenacity and the integrity of the regular posters on this case.

Just wanted to add this link for insight into the investigation, assuming it works, as I'm not very tech savvy. .. Apologies if it's already been discussed. LE basically echoing a lot of your thoughts. It was also poignant to read that some of the jury met with JC's family after the trial.
