they were not charged because the cops violated their miranda rights

All I remember about the bf is that no one could place him at the trailer during those 3 days. I know Couey's right to an attorney was violated and his confession thrown out. One thing I know for sure is the OJ law was changed because of Jessica's case. The old law made it almost impossible to charge and prosecute family members for OJ. And it was a wimpy misdemeanor at that. I think it's a felony now, not sure though.
I guess my point was that I'm glad that LE and DA's are no longer saying "well heck, you can't blame family members for sticking up for their own"
