Haven't had time to post much yesterday and today- we picked up a German exchange student from the airport last night, and I've been busy showing her a good time! I have, however, been following the thread. I am not optimistic about Abby's safe return. Unfortunately, I think harm has come to her, and I have a couple of people in mind that have struck me the wrong way since day 1.

I'm glad to see more information beginning to squeak out in this case, I just wish I though it would lead to a happy ending. :(

I agree, there had to be some sign of something wrong in the house. Mom called the police at 7:17pm, if she's a nurse she probably worked until 7pm and then came straight home. I just can't imagine coming home, not finding my child in the house and immediately calling the police. I'd call friends, wait for some time, assume the child might be out somewhere but I wouldn't assume they were in danger until some time later, certainly not upon arriving home. So I'm assuming she saw something when she got home, signs of struggle, blood, etc. Hadn't thought someone else may have found phone.

I think you and CatFancier are seriously onto it. This makes total sense to me. It also (IMO) fits into why LE has been so touchy about talking about details concerning her phone and some other things.

MOO of course.

Is it known if her purse, wallet, bag, whatever was at home? If so, that could cause a mother to panic, I guess?

mom could have:

texted Abigail's cell and Abigail did not reply
called the cell and it went straight to voicemail because it had no power or service
called the cell and it rang but Abigail did not pick up
called her friends and got information from them....

depending on what her friends said, this is when I would call police. it would take me about 10 minutes.

The Black truck is mentioned here: http://www.wmur.com/news/nh-news/fa...girl/-/9857858/22454244/-/qb9ufc/-/index.html

Around noon Tuesday, detectives pulled over a black Chevrolet pickup truck on Route 302. One of the occupants of the vehicle, Pam Hatch, said she went to see her husband, who was in the hospital last week.

She said each day she stopped at a Dunkin' Donuts on Route 16, not far from Abigail's home.

Apparently, one of the receipts flew out the window of the truck. Police recovered it, tracked down surveillance video and found the vehicle Tuesday.

That would be the Detectives on 302 I spotted and posted about earlier today .

If any of your theories are correct, that might be the cause of the mysterious activity we've been hearing about regarding AH's phone. Maybe her mother's call(s) were making the phone ping.

Why though? I appreciate the data :)
I just think that's kind of bizarre and wonder what causes crime to be higher there . Any locals have a clue ?

I'm heavy hearted but must hit the sack. Here's praying this girls' beautiful smile is all over tv in the morning with a fantastical , adventurous tale but FOUND SAFE !!!!!!

That is a bit skewed by this being a tourist destination. If you read Courts & Cops in the CDS I would bet you 25-40% of the crimes committed are by people not from these parts. Much of it is alcohol and drugs, assaults that can all be tied to partying either on the Saco or after Skiing. Many of them are from Mass. They think this is the sticks and they can do as they please, and " blow off steam " .

( I'm a bit biased )

Hey Guys,I saw a few posts on here that I wanted to respond to so I signed up today. A couple of you thought it was odd that info on the dad wasn't posted. While the rest of the families info was. This may seem far fetched to people but I come from a family with police officers in it. One can't even add me on his FB as a relative Bc of work he's done. He doesn't want any link to who hes related to and his profile pic is a random pic.The fact that the Secret Service is involved so quickly and that the dad isn't being mentioned or photographed it made sense to me that it could pertain to his job.

I had thought of this, thought I was the only one. Glad you brought it up.

Just caught up.....think LE is lying to us about a lot of things.

I think they are not actively lying as much as simply withholding most information and carefully crafting what they do choose to share with the public. So frustrating!

I think the dogs probably helped to find the 2 sets of remains. Someone posted the link to the search dog team's website earlier today, I found a page that had their calender and experience by date/project and noticed they were called out on 10/10-so I am thinking they were called or there then. I could be wrong. The page also describes how the dogs work, so it is an interesting read.

Will go look for the link and thanks to the original poster.

O/T... When I first read about Abi's BF's dad's interview... And saw the words "Union Leader"... I thought that the dad was a Union Leader...

I was thinking... Okayyy.... Soooo.. what about it?

silly me!

:blushing:

I thought that too! LOL

Okay, so yippee, I finally got to listen to the press conference! My take on the phone deal. She said no phone call that evening. She also said no phone call at 6:30pm. She dodged the question about Cranmore so I think something to do with the phone happened at Cranmore. Either the phone was found there, it pinged there, something.

Those of you that said they think mom found something wrong at home. That seems likely. It seems like it would take her longer than 15 minutes to feel she needed the police. Unless, let's say Abby was to meet someone at a certain time, mom called to find out if she was there, or someone called mom to say she never arrived.

And I missed NG too. Zenya was on. Was anyone else?

TIA!
