Bodhi, thanks. I have been to all of the sights and not one of them have any discussion at all about what might of happened. It is like its not allowed. So much for freedom of speech.

She didn's ask for information about a phone call.

http://www.wcsh6.com/video/default.aspx?bctid=2746266879001

"At the press conference Tuesday evening Young said that reports of a call being made from Hernandez's phone at 6:30 p.m. on the day that the teen disappeared are not accurate. Young did ask if anyone has any information about such a phone call that they contact authorities."
Seems kind of contradictory. She stated the reports of a phone call weren't accurate (didn't say a phone call didn't happen, just that reports on the call weren't accurate) and then asked if anyone has information about a phone call to contact authorities. If they have AH's cellphone records they know whether or not any activity occurred, so they would be able to emphatically deny that there was any phone activity. When they were able to figure out AH hadn't made it home they didn't say "reports of AH making it home aren't accurate, however if anyone has information about her activity at home after school please contact authorities"; they said "AH never made it home".
On the second issue, well, there goes my theory of ZH using her phone at 6:30. :)

The reporter got it wrong. She did not ask for information about a phone call. Listen to her words.

"We do not have a phone call at 6:30."

"To the extent that there was information provided that there was a phone call at 6:30 on Wednesday night, that is incorrect information."

After seeing news link comments from the public, and how people can pick apart and make all kinds of comments, I totally agree and I would go a step further and probably never comment myself either no matter what age.

Unless I really had something to offer to help find her that is not known to the public and is not being shared by LE. Then, I would take the wrath and provide the info to help find the person.

It is an individual choice of course. And others may choose to do things differently.

It seems strange to me though that the other person is not afraid to go public with their comments and views, so it does make one wonder if they are being prevented from talking or choosing not to say anything.

I know exactly what you are saying. Have you noticed that when it comes to celebrities, they go through media training, have PR teams, etc before they are allowed to do interviews? There is a lot of planning that goes into making sure they come across well to the public. Now, take a parent of a missing child. They are basically just thrown to the wolves. They have no training before about how to handle the media, they probably have no idea what questions are going to be asked, and it's the worst time of their lives. Is it really a shock that the general public tends to criticize every little thing that comes out the parents' mouth? It's very rare for a parent of a missing child to speak out, and for 100% of comments to be supportive, not suspicious, not judgmental, etc.

Listened to it. Thanks that clears it up somewhat. She still didn't say there was no phone activity, just that there wasn't a phone call. It just doesn't seem logical that fish and game would say there was phone activity and she would say there wasn't a phone call. Makes me still wonder if there was some kind of activity- text, date update, etc.

Anyone with a legitimate offer shouldn't be posting it on fb, they should contact LE. You never know who is running these fb pages (in this case we do, I'm just making a general statement) and they can't really give any information on where to best to search.

My point was.........he was telling people at first to not come up at all or deleting their offers to help. It took a couple of weeks before he finally gave out the number to the Attorney General's office, to whom he said was in charge of the searches. I should have made that clear in my very sarcastic post about you know who's father.....

respectfully snipped

I'm happy to agree to disagree, Rabbit. I know all about those thorns. :)

I gotta say, though, "We do not have a phone call at 6:30 that evening." is rather unequivocal. However, I do get your point.

lol with all the cases you've seen, i can't imagine the neosporin you've gone through...the mcstay case alone cost me hundreds of dollars in anti-bacterial cream.

i'm still on my first tube with this case...but the phone call and the "usual route home" are the big stickers, for me.

They said the phone was last used at that time my thinking is
It was turned off.

This is my first post. Let me preface this by saying, I've been an on/off lurker for about 5 years. I became a "full-time lurker" during the infancy stages of the LISK investigation. From there, I've been following several active missing persons cases since I officially joined about a year ago. I've had conversations w/ Kimster about becoming a verified poster, but due to conflicts of interest/occupational sensitivity, I've elected to not divulge any personal information. So you can take the following w/ your own judgement: I've been involved in Law Enforcement for nearly two decades. I've been a Major Crimes Det. for several years.

I know a lot of posters here immerse themselves heavily into investigations. There're a lot of fact checkers, timeline experts, etc. Can someone provide me w/ the particulars on the FBI and other Federal Agencies involvement? I'm most interested in the date/time of their arrival, and the manpower that was afforded upon their initial response.

Lastly, what is the estimated travel times (by motor vehicle) from Boston to Conway? New Haven, CT to Conway? TIA.

BTW. Some of you guys/girls have very good instinctual abilities in these investigations.

she disappeared on wednesday, october 9th as reported to police by her mother, Zenya Hernandez, at approximately 7:17pm.

hard to find reports of exact engagement times, but by friday october 11th all agencies were involved:

The FBI’s Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Team joined state and local authorities as they tried to locate Abigail Hernandez, who went missing Wednesday in Conway, N.H. Her 15th birthday is Saturday.

Conway police, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, New Hampshire State Police, and the FBI continue to review tips being called in and to look at social media and cellphone records for additional clues.

The FBI also set up a roadblock Friday near Hernandez’s school to distribute fliers to motorists along the girl’s route home on the day she went missing, Ramsey said.

FBI units from as far away as Virginia are assisting in the search, he said.

the article is dated friday, october 11th; my guess being the article was researched the day before. point being, the above authorities were involved quite soon after the missing persons report was generated.

Ok, I would like to attempt to clear things up a little bit.... I am very familliar with NH law enforcement policy and procedure.....
1. anything that Abby's boyfriend told LE or provided to LE.... they are NOT going to make that public... it is evidence and needs to be protected for the purpose of protecting the integrity of this investigation.
2. Any warrants that have been obtained to search cell records or any other type of personal property, whether it is Abby's property or anyone else ESPECIALLY a minor like her boyfriend, they are not going to make that public for privacy reasons and to protect the integrity of this investigation. Now, in the event they obtain something that creates solid leads and/or evidence that they need the public's assistance with substantiating they will bring it forward BUT they do NOT have to disclose how they came across it unless they think it will be helpful.
3. These kids are MINOR CHILDREN..... LE in NH after several cases with murdered teens etc, including my best friend, they have learned over the years (from 1997 on) it is much SAFER and better all around for the investigation and EVERYONE involved that MINORS are not subjected to a media circus as things may get said that should not, unreliable info or info that needs to be kept quiet could be inadvertantly released and it is traumatic for kids...

JDC is quite outspoken as we know, but he and his family have put forth a great effort to assist LE and most importantly the Hernandez family in finding a way to break this case open and get Abby home...... we should keep this thread respectful in that aspect IMO.... LE is NOT going to allow the boyfriend to subject himself to the media, and I am sure at this point the poor kid can not even THINK STRAIGHT and is under terrible DURESS as i know my best friends boyfriend was..... IMO once you have been through something like this, you have a better understanding of it once the healing process has gone on and years have gone by....

Reminder that this thread is dedicated to finding the truth about what happened to Abigail Hernandez. Leave the gossip and rumors outside.

I agree with you on several points and I meant no disrespect to JCjr or their family or in any way to denigrate what they've done to assist. However please don't assume that I don't understand. My sister disappeared into thin air after a swim practice. We were able to get closure 17 years later, but I understand intimately how people feel and as a sister I always wondered if enough was done early on, so on that basis I not only understand but we're equals in our ability to have differing opinions on this.

Between 2:23 p.m. and 2:53 p.m. Hernandez sent a series of text messages to a friend. FBI officials said that friend was cooperating with the investigation.

Afternoon everybody. I have been silent to give Cat a little break! ;)

So for two days I have pondered and this is what I am thinking.

I think Abby did make it home that day but I don't think LE want us to know that. From 2:23 til 2:53 is exactly half an hour. Just enough for the 2 miles in 30 minutes.

For the phone to stop would be normal because I think the first thing Abby would do is lay her things down and take her doggies outside for their walk.

Remember Mom talking about missing candy.

I also think Mom got home earlier than the 7 we have talked about. I think she got home and found Abby missing. SHE might have used Abby's phone that was laying there with all her friends numbers handy to call around to see where Abby had gone off to.

I think something happened to Abby right there either in or by her home!

I think LE is throwing us a few Red Herrings on this case. The missing phone...not missing.

No I don't have a link...but didn't the dogs follow her trail to her home?

I am getting kind of set on her making it home and something happening there!

Before you get too set on it, come up with some links. ;)

Hi everyone I am new to Webslueth, well have being following along with all of you here On AH - This is so terrible and I have found myself pounding my brain for the last two weeks trying to make sense of all of this. BTW you all have shared some great information & ideas. My thoughts on this that I have being thinking about- As far as phone call at 6:30 I think that is when the phone was about to die it sends a signal flare for the phone. As far as RH I cant quite put my finger on this one not alot makes since except for IMO i think that LE put him onto the FB & letter out to AH. I believe the heart sent to BF was just a teen texting special things. Maybe a fight occured between them and made her decide to walk. Now one thing I was really wondering, this all happened right before her 15th birthday, for her nationallity this is supposed to be her most memorable Bday of all - did maybe she want to spend this with RH to have this huge celebration and ZH sd no way? Just thoughts I have being running wild with in my own head.

But why? Why would they not want the public to know she made it home? Or that they have the phone? And how did the phone ping on the west side of Cranmore?
on a side note, was it ever stated what time DF saw AH take a right on the dirt road?

Was it ever stated what time her mom came home? I thought it was all speculation based on her job type?
