All MY points exactly! PLUS, the SF said he checked in on her at 8:30 in the AM... You go all the way down to the basement at 8:30 to "check" on her?My 12 year old son is on summer break and I only check on him if it's after 11!!
There are two threads on this case, and I mistakenly posted to the other one. Anyway,
JMO - For a little girl living in a small town, she had some big city music tastes. She lists her favorites on her facebook page. If you read the lyrics in songs from some of these "artists" you will quickly begin to understand. The pornographic messages are rife, and definitely not for children. How do we know that she wasn't led along by a pimp who appeared cool to her and was kidnapped by a child *advertiser censored*/prostitution ring perhaps in Canada?
LOl, by 11, I'm checking my still unconcious 13 year-old for a pulse and bedsores. :floorlaugh:
All of those artists (Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Chris Brown, Nelly, Ne-Yo, Eminem) are on the Hot 100 frequently. Turn on the radio station and you'll hear songs by them. Maybe their songs are not appropriate for a 11-year-old (except for Swift), but they are extremely mainstream.
Here is my confusion. There are people saying that she would have slept on the couch that night because she was afraid to stay in the basement room alone, YET her stepdad says he was the last one to see her that night, and she was IN HER BEDROOM, on her computer.
I also wonder where she truly slept that night. And why was stepdad the last to see her that night, as well as the one who checked on her to find her missing? Where was mom? Where was her older brother that night?
:floorlaugh: It's summer! We stay up late and sleep even later! Not normal? :waitasec: Plus, my growing tween can sleep 12 hours straight! Doc says it's hormonal. You're only young once!!!
Really? Read the lyrics of some of these songs. I'd be banned here if I printed the words in my post. No way especially should an 11 yr. old girl be listening to pornographic lyrics like that.
I do believe I read somewhere (and know I heard it on NG show from the local reporter they had on) that there were no signs of an intruder. Also how much use would dogs be in the home of the missing person? She probably had been out and about in most directions of the home within the past day or two anyway.
When we spoke with Celina's aunt, she told us that it appeared that she had been in her bed at some point that night.

Just skimmed through this thread. The stepfather could be hiding something, but his interest in *advertiser censored*, etc. does not necessarily mean much. Also, the one statement he made, "Get your butt home" could be taken as strange, but it could be innocent, FAIK. It wouldn't be unusual in this part of the country, but perhaps in that area, it is? IDK, I am just praying that this child is found safe very soon. I'm not making any conclusions just yet until we know more.
Oh, about the warrant for the computer, etc. It is necessary so that anything they find will hold up in court, if the case goes to trial. If they don't get a warrant for electronic searches, the evidence would not be admissable in court. At least that's how it is where I live.
The problem with mother's husband's FB page is that it it wide open, first of all...if you have those types of interests and there are children in the home, the least you can do it make it private...
I think his interest in *advertiser censored* is pretty important in this case, for a couple of reasons. One, it shows his constant 'state of mind.' I have no problem with people who incorporate a few dirty pictures to enhance their sexual life. But people who become obsessed with *advertiser censored* are often in a constant state of 'horniness.' That is not good for a new stepfather moving in with a family of kids. His FB is a red flag, imo.
Also, it shows his inappropriateness and his lack of boundaries. Being a newlywed yet commenting and conversing with *advertiser censored* stars and 'escorts' is problematic, imo.
A shy 11 yr old goes missing in the middle of the night and his words to her are ' Get your butt home' ? That would make sense for a 14 yr old chronic runaway perhaps. But not to this girl. It is like he is implying she ran away.
I have major problems with this guy when I think about this poor girl. Something is not right with the step father imo.
