I have to believe that it takes a few minutes to strangle the life out of someone? That moment of climax that the defendant says happened must have lasted for several minutes? How can that be accidental? I can see snapping someone's neck (if you are that strong) in a second but strangulation takes much longer.

I don't see how it could be accidently unless we are dealing with a very low functioning person?

I guess what came to mind are the many incidents of auto asphyxiation resulting in death that I've heard of. It doesn't seem that they are claiming an accident here, however, and I don't think a jury would buy it. What happened after the death is just too callous and demented to claim the innocent sex game defense.

Right now I could totally buy that Kat is the brilliant mastermind behind all of this because SM is just not impressing me that way...

I think you're right about the age on both sides. Attorneys ask to approach the bench instead of objecting and letting the viewing audience hear it. Maybe neither side isn't very confidant about the law?

probably doing it for the benefit of the jury, so they don't have to keep leaving. jmo:seeya:

With auto.. the person starts out choking themselves. In bdsm when you are having sex and choking, usually the choking comes in during the latter part. jmo

I'm unable to watch the live coverage due to work schedule, and Crompton's tweet-esque play-by-play is pretty good but I would like to be able to read the actual complete transcripts of the court proceedings, especially the opening statements...

Does anyone know where I might be able to find those? I'm having trouble coming up with anything.

I would settle for the complete video footage as well but even that I'm not able to find (there are some "Mazzaglia Trial Day 2" videos up on youtube, but nothing for the opening statements/Day 1).

Thanks

Further observation in regards to Atwoods testimony, I think Davis was trying to suggest that Atwood and Lizzi were not close like Atwood thinks. I felt like she was practically saying "Isn't it true that Lizzi hid things from you!?"

The defendant's texts showing how dominating, how big and bad he thought he was make me think that he could have told Kat to tell Liz that she was bi to trick Liz into coming over. Ya know a kindred spirit to share with? To have Liz let down her guard?

Auto asphyxiation like the people that hang themselves by accident? Like the Kung Fu actor?

Exactly. Like the Kung Fu guy. What a way to go...

Wasn't he found in his closet like a suit?

I figured the guy defense attny would be doing the cross on the most damaging witnesses.

the scream..

Court Chatter TV ‏@CourtChatterTV 5m
Witness states that she heard a very horrible scream, a loud high pitched, blood curdling female scream. #SethMazzaglia #Mazzaglia

"I am talking about a scream but I am not sure what you are talking about, to be honest" So true. I am so confused what he is saying. Is he trying to find out if she is an experienced scream hearer?

A whisper is not a scream. A flower bed of petunias is not a scream. A hot fudge sundae is not a scream.

I think I got it. I scream is a scream.

Yes apparently we are going to nit pick the tar out of that scream...

He was discussing scream categories. I don't know why he has to be so confusing. Can't he just say "Did you hear a scream?"

I can't help but think that if she knows now that someone died in that apartment, it might change her memory of the scream. I don't doubt that she screamed but I think it might be damaging that she didn't report it :(

I guess this is all designed to make Lizzie look bad in the juries' eyes?

Quoting myself because this came out wrong. Not that Lizzie looked bad for being bi. I meant to say that it would look like she was more likely to take part in sex games and would effect the jury's view of her. jmo :seeya:

I understood.

And obviously I am the only one who matters.

Carry on.

WAT usually has the trial recording on their website.

http://www.wildabouttrial.com/trials/

I just checked they are not there yet, you might check back later.

I don't know of anywhere that would provide a transcript, other than our great members here who sometimes do a play by play.
I would give youtube a little more time. whoever is posting videos may have just not put up what you are looking for yet.

Follow-up to my earlier question re: transcripts/video footage...

Does anyone have a source/link to somewhere we can see the actual text messages they keep referring to? And/or the letters to KM that SM had smuggled out of jail? I'm just thirsty for the raw details rather than having them filtered through the media.

Edit: Thanks ohiogirl and Jewels53! I think I may message the person who posted the Day 2 videos on youtube and see if they plan to post the opening statments.
