New Hampshire man missing after crash
It's a mother's desperate appeal to missing son.

"We just want you to know that we love you unconditionally," Joanne Davis said.

Davis' son, Nick Washburn, 26, crashed Friday night on a bridge connecting Claremont, New Hampshire, to Ascutney, Vermont. Police barricades still mark where his vehicle hit the guardrail. Washburn's car was totaled, but what happened to the young father remains a mystery. The icy waters of the Connecticut River have his mom fearing the worst.

"It was so dark out he could have tripped and be lying somewhere and we just don't know," Davis said.

Claremont police are not only investigating Washburn's bizarre disappearance, but the violent episode allegedly leading up to the crash.

"Friday night about 12 after nine we received a call for a serious domestic violence assault," Claremont Police Chief Alex Scott said. "We responded to that scene. We were investigating that and through that we learned Mr. Washburn was a suspect in that case."

At the same time, police got word it was Washburn who crashed on the Main Street bridge. For the past two days, N.H. Fish and Game, and Marine Patrol have been scouring the area by land, air and boat. No clues have surfaced.

"While that canine search did lead us off of the bridge, it was inconclusive," Scott said.

Man Missing for 1 Month, Search Resumes Along River

New Hampshire authorities are still searching on land and in the Connecticut River for a man who's been missing for a month.

The Eagle Times reports divers from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department went into the river this week and didn't find anything related to the case.

Capt. Mark Chase of the Claremont Police Department asks if anyone has information on the case, to please call.

Sad to see no new info. Always felt weird about this one. Crashed car but no nick. Could he have been hurt and wandered away? Or did someone else crash the car?? I wonder if police had video of him in the car prior to the crash?

Just my opinion..

Washburn was last seen at a residence on Block Avenue in Claremont, New Hampshire at 9:00 p.m. on April 10, 2015. There was a domestic violence incident that night and the police responded; Washburn was a suspect. He left before the authorities arrived.

A short time later, his 2007 Ford Fusion crashed into the guardrails of the Main Street Bridge over the Connecticut River. Police stated the crash appeared to be intentional, and Washburn's wallet and his three cellular phones were left inside the vehicle.

There was no sign of the driver at the accident site and no one saw anybody fleeing the scene. Searches of the river turned up no indication of Washburn's whereabouts. His case remains unsolved.
