This Pennsylvania Missing persons site has the Stiver girls listed as missing, but I can't find them on Doe, Namus, etc. They went missing from Philly in 1968 - practically New Jersey...there are no vital stats to compare, but there is a resemblance. Anyone ever heard of these girls?

This could be Niki Diane Britten. She was missing from Oregon and traveled to NYC in 1969. The thread is below. I will paste the contents of that post below the link.

This was already submitted to the Doe Network 2 months ago. Hopefully we will find out soon if it is a match or not.

OR OR - Niki Diane Britten, 15, Albany, 16 July 1969 - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

---------------------------------
Two months ago I read the article in the Charley Project

Nicki Diane Britten missing since July 16,1969 from Albany Oregon- NamUs MP # 7828

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/7828/1/

can possibly be

NamUs UP # 5221 - found December 6, 1971 Galloway Township New Jersey
Case number 71-A-388

https://identifyus.org/en/cases/5221

This is based on an article in the Charley project

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/b/britten_niki.html

Niki Britten ran away from home on July 16, 1969. But an update to the article on September 4 indicates Niki called her grandparents and contacted friends in September 1969 saying she was in "New York, was working and doing ok"

This was also indicated in an article in the Albany Democrat Herald on April 12, 2012

http://democratherald.com/news/local...a4bcf887a.html

This information is not included in in the mssing person report.

She was never heard from again.

Skeletal remains of a female were found on December 6, 1971 in Galloway Township NJ, around 100 miles from New York City. The postmortem interval was listed as months

The height, weight and age between Niki Britten and the unidentified body are similar.

The face structure is similiar although she is wearing glasses in one of her pictures.

This is just a hunch, both cases are over 40 years old. By matching dentals and DNA between the missing girls relatives and the unidentfied body can this confirm if this is a match or not.

This was already submitted to the Doe Network 2 months ago. Hopefully we will find out soon if it is a match or not.

I received an email from the detective investigating this UID.

Dentals do not match.

Niki Diane Britten's dental record indicates tooth decay on some of her teeth.

The UID had "perfect" teeth.

Kathy Lulloff has never been mentioned.

She is missing from Ontario, Canada, but she is American, and was hitchhiking through Canada when last seen. It's not out of the question that she might have ended up back in the U.S.

The metrics are all pretty much in line. And her teeth look pretty clean and straight FWIW. That doesn't mean they are "perfect" from a forensic odontologist's perspective.

Perhaps the fact that she is missing from Canada caused her to be completely off the LE's radar.

I just had to say this girl reminds me of the one outdoors with the shorts in the Alcala photos. I know nothing of the demographic or time frame but had to get the thought on paper and out of my head. Sorry if this derailed any dialogue.

Because of the difference in hair color I do not think the Alcala blond is the UID but I do want to note that the Alcala girl may have a similar type band as the UID's watch.

There appears to be a 'band' of some sort around the handle of her suitcase when I zoom in on the suitcase handle, found here: http://cnnnancygrace.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/00801.jpg

The 1st pic is the UID's watch.
The 2nd pic is the suitcase handle in the Alcala pic.
Note that the far side of the handle has a circular area as if something is around the handle.
Based on how high this object sits as compared to the handle it might be the same width as the bracelet/watch found with the UID.

That style of leather band with the circular rivets was quite popular in the 70's for watch bands, bracelets, belts, purse straps, etc. I had a bracelet very similar to that one, but without the watch, that I wore for years. I think my brother made it in shop class.

That's a pretty strong resemblance.

Here's her Charley page with more information: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/s/sheehy_denise.html

The timeline works pretty well. If she ran away from home in July trying to get to Pennsylvania to her boyfriend, she might have gone through New Jersey on public transportation and run into trouble there. July 1970 to January 1971 would be six months, about the right time.

Only a bit over two hours from Woodside to Galloway by car: https://goo.gl/maps/Jvml2

Did I overlook a Namus link somewhere? I didn't see one when I went through the thread.

I've recently done a few reconstructions based on those bland looking NCMEC CT-Scan recons, and I decided to do my own rendition for this girl.

The NCMEC description indicates that she *might have had* auburn shoulder length hair. Frequently, auburn hair corresponds to a light complexion. So I did my version of her with sort of an Irish look.

Of course with skeletal remains, it is impossible to know what kind of complexion she had, so this is just another interpretation of her facial shape, as indicated in the NCMEC recon

(Disclaimer: This facial reconstruction is based on the NCMEC reconstruction that was based on a CT-Scan of her skull. Details such as her overall look, and the shape of her eyes, lips, etc. are not intended to be exact depictions)

This doe was found Dec 6, 1971. I think it could be important to find out the brand of sandals and bra. For instance, the brand of bra could determine if it was purchased at Bamberger's (bought out by Macy's) or Strawbridge & Clothier VS Ames or Grants. That may help to determine class or income level. Grants and Ames used to sell Hanes and Fruit of the Loom. Bamberger's sold higher quality. Remember, Victoria's Secret wasn't out in 71. The sandals - what type? Were they heeled like wedges or moon shoes, platforms...or were they like the Dr Scholl's that were so popular back in the 70's? It never ceases to amaze me why authorities don't release this kind of information, especially after all this time that's gone by.

Also, she was found right off the Garden State Parkway so could have come from NY, CT, MA, etc but dumped there and the key in her pocket could have been planted there as a clue by a perp. If it was planted, then maybe the perp was serial?

The striped pants - white blue orange striped - was the white more like a creamy white?..was the blue dark or more like a sky blue?..the orange was it deep in color?..

She was found near Jimmie Leeds Rd right off of the Garden State Parkway. There was a locally known ramp for the parkway right there, not sure if its still there. Just wanted to note this bc it may not have been known to those not familiar to the area or utilizing that part of the parkway at the time... Anyway, a couple years ago there was talk of building a police barracks right there, not sure if it happened or not.
