Imani Glover, 25, was last seen in New York City on Jan. 4, police said.

On Tuesday night, friends and family of a missing New Jersey couple were handing out flyers in Newark hoping it could lead to the women being found. Imani Glover, 25, and her girlfriend Destiny Owens, 29, have been missing for over two weeks.
Glover’s mother, Shantia, told PIX11 News that her daughter said she was at Newark Penn Station during a call made from a stranger’s phone because she had lost her own.

“The last time I had a conversation with Imani was Dec. 31. I said, ‘Is anything going on?’ I said, ‘Where are you?’ And she said, ‘Mommy, I’m alright. I just want to say I love you and happy New Year,’” Shantia Glover explained.

Newark police ultimately issued a missing persons alert for Glover. On January 4, it was reported that Imani was allegedly last seen a few days later inside the Jimmy Jazz store on West 125th Street in Harlem.

Authorities in Morristown and Newark are seeking the public's help in locating a Morristown woman missing for two weeks.

Imani Glover, 25, was last seen on Jan. 4 inside the Jimmy Jazz shoe store on 125th St. in New York City, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety. She was reported missing to Morristown Police on Jan. 8.

Glover is 5-foot-3 and 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo on her left wrist featuring the word "Shantia" and another tattoo on the back of her neck. She is known to frequent Newark, East Orange and Harlem, police said.

Family members and friends of two missing New Jersey women will walk the streets of downtown Newark on Saturday afternoon to search and pass out flyers, the mother of one of the women said.

Destiny Owens, 29, of East Orange and Imani Glover, 25, of Morristown have dating for about two years and neither has their cell phone, according to Owens’ mother Tamika Owens.

Owens asked anyone who is willing to assist to meet at 1 p.m. Saturday at a parking lot on Halsey Street, between Brandford Street and William Place. The women are known to have spent time in the area, Owens said.

A Morristown woman, missing for two weeks, was seen last weekend in Newark with another missing woman, authorities said Friday afternoon.

Imani Glover, 25, was most recently spotted in the area of Newark Penn Station on Sunday, according to a news release from the Morristown Police Department. Destiny Owens, 29, of East Orange, who was reported missing Dec. 24, is "believed to be in the company" of Glover and was seen with her over the weekend, the release stated.

Law enforcement agencies in Morristown, East Orange and Newark have reported "multiple sightings" of the two women in the Newark area, according to the release. However, the search for both of them remains ongoing.

The Morristown Department of Public Safety shared news of Glover's disappearance on Facebook Tuesday afternoon. The same day, the East Orange Police Department advised Morristown authorities that Owens was missing from the H.E.L.P. Center, a homeless shelter in Newark, the release stated.

Imani Glover, 25, missed a second court appearance Monday after an initial absence Jan. 3, according to a statement from the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. Both appearances involved "charges relating to controlled dangerous substances, hindering and tampering," Meghan Knab, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor's office, said by email.

Police announced Glover's disappearance on Jan. 18. On Tuesday, the Prosecutor's Office said she was last seen by a family member on Jan. 4 in the area of 239 West 15th St. in New York City. Her mother reported her missing to Morristown Police Jan. 8.

A 25-year-old Morristown woman has been found alive exactly a month after she disappeared, authorities said.

Imani Glover was located Tuesday as a result of "the extensive cooperative efforts" of several law enforcement agencies, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said in a statement Wednesday.
