Vigil Held for Missing AC Woman

A vigil was held Saturday night for a South Jersey woman whose sudden disappearance and apparent suicide of her boyfriend have sparked fears from police and the community that foul play was involved.

Her sister told police she had not heard from her since Oct. 14.

Sources told NBC10 investigators are trying to determine if there’s a connection between Shelton’s death and Wiggins’ disappearance. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office is also assisting in the investigation.

I've been looking like a CRAZY person, and the only thing I found was her dad send a message to Whoopie Goldberg via FaceBook..... I haven't seen any mention of searches. :gaah:

I'm with y'all....this doesn't sound good for Sapphire.

I feel really sorry for the bf's wife if she didn't know. What a way to find out that your husband of 30 years is having an affair!! Heartbreaking all around.

I saw the plea to Whoppie Goldberg and I truly hope that is not the only avenue they are pursuing for a search. Until I found this site, I didn't realize how many resources are out there and the quicker you get them involved the better. Even a dedicatedFacebook page would be a help. I think a lot of people feel that getting LE involved is the only approach but communicaiton is key especially with keeping the media's attention. This case will certainly appeal to the media with the details that are unfolding.

I would like to know when her brother saw them together that there was trouble, was it 2 months ago, was it 2 days ago???? Anyone know?

Has anyone said she never just drops out of sight for a while? If she found out he was married, for example, that may have been as shocking to her as an affair might be to his wife.

Wondering the same thing. Maybe they were separated. Families often don't include such details in an obituary. I do not think we know for sure that he was living a double life.

I'm with you, on that one, this case is so interesting if her family/friends made statements it would be picked up.

MOO I find it interesting they are not doing anything publicly to help find her, very confusing!

Bump for Sapphire - This case has really bothered me since she went missing. Has anything at all been released that anyone can find? This case needs some attention I think. Are they even searching for Sapphire?
