Missing persons cases FB page says the individuals with the credit card were identified, but LE isn't releasing names. Also says his truck was located but no location has been provided. Interestingly I can't seem to find any MSM reporting this info.

Now they say it will be tomorrow ugh. I've been checking constantly for an update since they first announced one was coming soon and than Monday for sure and now Tuesday
Seems to be lack of forthcoming info from LE and it MSM that’s preventing any update. Family and friends appear to be frustrated as well.

Phoenix resident here, very familiar with the Payson area where Craig was last seen. I've done the drive between Scottsdale and Albuquerque through Payson/Heber/Overguard many times over the last few years. Anxious for an update on Craig. How awful for his family to have to continue to wait.

MOO - I was browsing through the Sheriff's Department Press Releases last night and it seems like there have been several death investigations in the area recently. This is a smaller Sheriff's Department than Phoenix and surrounding areas have access to. Perhaps the case load is impeding their ability to resolve this? Or perhaps there is concern that this case is connected to other recent cases in the area?

Am I able to link or summarize the current cases? Or does that violate TOS?

SBM: You can absolutely summarize what you find on LE websites - a link is great also.

Alright, Mods please let me know if anything here needs to be removed.

First of all - the Facebook Group lists the investigating offices as the Farmington County PD and Coconino Sheriff's Department. This is confusing to me because Craig's last known location was at the Mazatzal Hotel and Casino in Payson, AZ.

Payson is Gila County. Coconino County runs slightly north of Payson along the I40 corridor up through Flagstaff, AZ. The route from Farmington to the greater Phoenix area would take you through either Payson or Flagstaff but not both. It's unclear to me why Coconino County would be investigating this and not Gila County? Could be nothing but I found it odd.

Over the last ~6 weeks Coconino County has posted releases on the following investigations:
  • 7/29/19 Assault with a gun in Fernwood. Listed as a neighbor dispute. (Payson to Fernwood is ~1 H 50M)
  • 8/5/19 Death & attempted stabbing investigation in Gray Mountain. Suspect in the attempted stabbing was the deceased and appears to be unrelated to Craig's case. (2H 30M away from Payson)
  • 8/6/19 SWAT situation responding to shots fired in Parks, AZ (Payson to Parks is ~2H)
  • 8/19/19 Seeking information from public on unknown death investigation and a stolen car in Flagstaff/Oak Creek (Payson to Flagstaff is ~1H 50M)
  • 8/23/19 Structure fire in Flagstaff. Deceased body located in one of the structures. Pending positive identification.
  • 8/26/19 Deceased male in Oak Creek identified as Alan Arvey. Circumstances of death under investigation. It is unknown if the death is related to the stolen vehicle located nearby.
Takeaway is that Coconino County is covering multiple active investigations, possibly more than usual. It's unclear if any are related to Craig's disappearance. MOO I suspect the delay here could be lack of resources or pending evidence processing.

Hope his family gets answers soon!
