If anyone wants to leave a condolence message on Allison's Legacy Guest Book here is the link http://www.legacy.com/guestbook/cou...llison-baden-clay&pid=157500203&cid=gbsrchres

Someone posted it not long after her funeral but I thought I'd repost on her birthday in case anyone wanted to leave loving memorial wishes and missed out on this link being provided at the time. You can even upload an image of your choice to go with your message, like candles or flowers etc.

I realised early in the month that the Guestbook had expired, and I paid for it to continue for antoher 6 months. But now I see that the message at the top says 'This Guest Book has been kept online until 17/06/2013 by The Sunflower Mums', so looks like some lovely ladies have funded an additional 6 months. Are The Sunflower Mums some of our very own? If it was mentioned here I missed it as I have missed a lot more pages lately.

It's great to see the Guest Book kept open for so long - now it will still be there for the 1 year Anniversary as well. You can order a printed version of it, which would be lovely for the girls, as the wishes are all very sweet and kind. I wonder if the Dickies, including Allisons siblings, have even thought about this Guest Book, or looked at it? Reason I wondered was the fact that it expired so soon. They have so much on their plate they simply might not have had a chance. Some people might not even realise it is created automatically if you have a Funeral notice in the Courier Mail.

I was thinking I might write to the Dickies and let them know it's there for a year and that you can order a printed copy.

Happy Birthday Allison - I only wish you were still here, for your girls and simply because the world would be a better place with you in it.

Happy Birthday Dear Allison

It is also Princess Di's birthday today too

Two beautiful ladies both well loved and sadly missed

Happy Birthday Allison. Justice will be served for you, as there are so many people making sure of it.

I feel very sad for the Dickies and Allison's daughters today. I can't imagine what it is like in your later years to lose the daughter you brought up so well, a life full of accomplishments, the best of all, three more lovely girls for the family. I imagine Priscilla and Geoff thinking about the day Allison was born and how precious she was and is to them. Every parents wants their child to have a happy and fulfilling life, they have all been robbed of so much. I hope Allison's daughters can overcome this tragedy and have they life Allison would have wanted for them and they deserve.

Such a beautiful song, Makara.. a lovely tribute to Allison on her birthday. And lovely thoughts and birthday wishes from everyone today....

Many tears for me this morning; Although I have never met you guys in person, you are amongst some of the most wonderful people I 'know'.

Bellgirl, I do hope your nephew's dog pulls through. Thinking of you today.

And it is good to see you back for Allison's birthday, Minni.

This has gone through my mind many times and I really think that, not matter how much love and support is given by the Dickies, there is only so much you can do in such an extreme situation. The big question, "What on earth do you say to them" has really played on my mind. There is the fact that at their different ages it might not be appropriate to tell each one of them exactly the same thing, due to what they can understand.

And then, have they been told what has happened with each step? I mean, when they went to the funeral had they been told their Mummy was murdered? If so then imagine the worry of them thinking there is a bad man out there who murdered their Mother. Could one of them suspect their father and felt weird or scared by being with him? Or, if they were told "Mummy probably had an accident" then once Gerard was arrested what were they told about that?

At some point they would hear it from someone else, or see it on a newstand or on the internet, so i feel the 2 older girls would have to be told Allison was murdered and Gerard was arrested for her murder. And then what do you say? "We dont know if he murdered Mummy" invokes thoughts of, who might have done it if not him?, or thoughts that he might have, and done it while they were in the house. If you imply he didnt do it, the children are in anguish that their Daddy has been unfairly jailed, and that he might be wrongly convicted. Plus there is the fact that they can't see him and don't know if they ever will again. The list goes on of traumatic scenarios for each child around these issues.

It was pretty obvious that GBC was hiding behind the kids. He was also probably intent on controlling what they talked about in the early days. He may or may not know if they saw anything. He could hardly ask them!

What we know they ARE witness to is how he behaved in those days after Allison was killed because they were holed up with him at Bwanas. It must've been an awful time for them. GBC would not have been in the best frame of mind, as he worried about himself and some scratches. Then they had him clambering all over them at the funeral. It makes me shudder.

Now he's forcing the Dickies and the girls to endure the details of a trial on top of everything else.

I think the only thing that might encourage GBC to plead guilty is too avoid the disclosure. He might consider it when he learns to what extent his dirty deeds and dealings will be splayed out and possibly marched into the witness box . The mistresses. The money. The lies. The Autopsy. And 3 daughters who are a few years older and wiser, who may have recollections themselves.

Until then, I'm sure he's quite snug under his protective blankie at Arthur Gorrie. Thankful not to get bail and glad for the lengthy legal progress where he is innocent until proven. And happy for the taxpayer to fund his long and vigorous defense.

Some boy scout.

Gerard Baden-Clay's parents refused to give interviews during effort to death of Allison Baden-Clay, court documents claim

July 01, 2012 12:00AM

THE parents of Gerard Baden-Clay refused requests for further information and interviews during the massive effort to solve the death of his wife, Allison, police claim in court documents.
The documents were filed during the recent Supreme Court bail application for the alleged murderer.

Detective Sergeant Peter Roddick, from the Homicide Squad, detailed for the first time in the court documents that he was unable to get all the information wanted from the family.

He said accused killer Baden-Clay and his father, Nigel, did not tell police of an alleged FaceTime call between their phones at 12.30am on Friday April 20, the night Allison vanished.

"Nigel Baden-Clay has provided investigators with a brief statement in relation to the contact he had with Gerard Baden-Clay after 6.30am on Friday,'' Sgt Roddick said in an affidavit.

"He has never made mention of receiving this FaceTime call. I have previously asked Nigel Baden-Clay for a further interview and statement to obtain further details relevant to the investigation; however, he has declined my requests.''

The affidavit details how police discovered evidence of the alleged 1min 23sec call after retrieving information from Baden-Clay's iPhone using a Cellebrite Universal Forensic Examination Device

Not the behaviour of caring parents-in-law who want their darling daughter-in-law returned to the bosom of their family!!!

I always thought when police asked you a question you really should, for your own sake, answer.......I have spent years watching my beloved Midsummer Murders....thats were my education comes from....hmmm..
Why cant they take NBC in and keep him there until he answers..?

maybe they are trying to get a copy of the face time call - someone said way back that there is probably a copy of it somewhere, then they can confront who ever it was on the other end (maybe EBC)

It's my understanding that in Australia, someone can be detained for 8 hours (in a Police station or watch house) and can only be questioned for 4 of those 8 hours. Someone can be detained longer, if the Police have a court order.

On this the 1st July, 2012, the day Allison Baden-Clay would have celebrated her 44 th birthday. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Allison Baden-Clay.

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear.

I am posting some information on the Forensic Extraction Device used to find information from cell phone, including the information regarding the Face Time call. Some of our technos may understand more than I can.
Here is a video clip on the same thing:

I wonder what will happen to ABC's personal effects ... I wonder if the Dickies were notified in advance to remove her things before the removalists arrived?

CC - so sad - I would have removed Allison's personal effects weeks ago if I were the Dickies. I would not want anyone else (post QPS) but my family touching my daughter's things.

It doesn't bear thinking about. It is just so sad.IMO

Police allege he murdered his wife in the home or elsewhere and then dumped her body, which was found on the banks of Kholo Creek 11 days after she vanished.

May be this was to disorient the defence team? Let's hope..

Respectfully snipped
I hope so, too.. but even that could haunt them as they get older "Why didn't I wake up? I could have saved Mum."

That is a good point Linette. When all the details emerge about how/when this alleged murder occurred at the home (if that is the case), the girls could well feel some guilt that they were asleep throughout the proceedings and were unable to do anything to stop from happening. IMO

Happy Birthday Allison. *advertiser censored*
I am thinking of you and what a beautiful loving caring Mother you are to your girls. Nothing can take that away from you.
In years to come when my grandchildren ask me why I display a sunflower , in my home, I will tell them your story and how your love of your girls and your loss , effected every Mother worldwide.
I will tell them that this sunflower is a symbol of rememberance of you, and also a symbol of all other special Mothers taken too soon. It is also a symbol of my promise to you, to lend a hand if your children ever need help.
Guide me and I shall be your servant . Xx

Hi - slightly OT but is there a quick way to get into the current ABC thread?

ATM being a newbie, I am going into "Forums", then ABC subsection, then into thread 28, link to 29, go to modlink into #30.

Am sure there must be a more user friendly way...

Any help greatfully appreciated...:banghead:
