i used you as a example because if there is a way to give someone the benefit of doubt you do it. i'm glad that you do not seem to have taken any offence at being used as a example. i hope you know how much respect i have for you. i just thought that if you (someone who actually believes in innocent until proven guilty) think that this case should warrant further investigation then a DA should see it. if i say fry someone and the DA dont agree it is not a shock. i tend to be far on the scale toward punishment. you are more level headed and you agree so what can this DA be thinking??? and :blowkiss: right back at ya hun.Just a shout out, sherri :blowkiss: to say you're right, based on what we know, I do not understand why this woman has not been charged. It's very strange. This women seemed to be a habitual leaver of her child in the car and I agree with other posters that she may well have been moving the car around to keep the child in the shade during the five (!!) times she went out and moved the car that day.
I am going to try to investigate a bit more tonight after I get the kids in bed.
Connections. Plain and simple. Connections mean no charges. Assistant principal with political connections through work and her attorney. This DA needs to be reported, quickly.
This is such a scary precedent. This isn't the basic case of "forgetting" or an accidental lapse in judgment or memory. This woman, IMO, chose to get a box of doughnuts out of her vehicle instead of her child! Did she reach past the child to get the doughnuts, or were they sitting next to the child? Good grief. This is a hard one to even type about without wanting to scream. And there's a HISTORY of leaving children in vehicles?
What is going on here? It didn't have to be INTENTIONAL! There are a range of negligent or involuntary crimes charged against people every day in this country.
Social circumstance and politics are spinning hard here, IMO. I shudder to think the outcome would be different if this lady wasn't who she was.
AMEN.
I'd love for Nancy Grace to hear about this one.
Me too. That's awful. So she never noticed her baby just sitting there in the car? How do you not know? I have 5 kids and not once have I forgotten they were in the car. I don't understand how you just forget? My routine's been changed before as I'm sure many of yours has, again, how do you forget? You mean to tell me when she opened her car door, she never once saw the child sitting there?
