I just got a thought that makes me MAD (well, this whole thing makes me mad, of course).

This guy seems to get off on living a secret life - just like his father did.

Nobody knows much about him - but he was a big-stakes gambler, had planes, multiple pieces of real estate, hunting licence. If I listed those activities as a description of someone, you might picture a flashy guy, sharp dresser, smart looking. But the guy is a slob and today we read descriptions that he appeared like a slob at court (during his suit against the casino). I think he really liked being opposites, hard to figure out, "big" but yet in the background.

What makes me mad is I bet you he wanted everyone to be baffled by his motive. He wanted to keep his motive secret to his grave, like a big, slovenly, selfish jerk. I WANT TO KNOW WHY HE DID THIS just to spite him, if nothing else.

Did anyone notice yesterday at a press conference when the reporter asked if he had worked for a federal agency? The answer was "I can't confirm or deny that, we're still looking into that."

Reported that he was a mail carrier early in his work life in Ca. So USPS is federal.

Some gamblers are known to casinos for their ability to count cards and they're banned from betting at those casinos.

Many casinos will share information with other casinos, so if you're banned from one, there's a chance you will be banned from others as well. Especially groups of casinos within a rewards program, like M Life or Total Rewards.

Card counting is only used in Blackjack though, where a 6 deck shoe is used. In poker, only one deck of cards is used. No need to count. You know what you have, you know what's on the table. You pretty much have to guess at the rest.

Edit: My husband plays a lot of poker. He counts cards when he plays Blackjack. Counting cards isn't illegal, but if you start to win too much, the casinos will notice and they have the right to kick you out. My husband sucks at it, though, so that's never going to happen to him.

Interesting that he paid for her trip IMO. Also, was she in Tokyo or Philippines? I normally wouldn't think it's that big of a deal that MSM is misreporting something like this, but since he wired money to the Philippines I do think it matters in this case.

ETA - I do remember reading here that he wired money but now I can't find it... so if that is untrue I will delete my post, sorry!

Mention they were made aware of the situation from their step sister, MD’s daughter, by phone call. Wanted public to know that they have never met and have no idea who SP is - have never even heard his name. They are still cordial with MD, text on Mother’s Day etc. Say MD is a very sweet happy and kind woman who would never be associated with anything like this. Want ruthless people making hateful comments to understand there are real people at the other end of those comments.

Yep! I agree with you. The majority of the photos I take are not posed. You get the best ones that way, especially ones of the kids.

Also, I am surprised if she was/is out of the country....andon vacation, and the hotel knew she was not at work because she was on vacation, why security did not pick up on the fact her hotel i.d. card was being used to gain entry. One would think either a security employee would be visually checking employee log in and out daily sheets or a computer would be doing it and sending up red flags that an employee was gaining entry when not scheduled to work. IMO there is a weakness in the security system for possibly not checking on non scheduled employees coming into work using their hotel i.d.’s.

I think you have a point, the hotel arguably should of had a system in place to identify somebody on vacation, yet apparently using employee entrances.

At the same, with hundreds or perhaps even thousands of employees, it is probably not unusual for employees to request vacation time, then change their minds and work during part of their vacation. Likewise, it is probably not unusual for employees not scheduled for work to enter the hotel to pick up uniforms, talk to human resources, meet a friend after shift, get stuff out of their lockers etc.

If even say, 5% of the employees do this on a given day, it could number dozens of people. As a side note, my wife worked for a large hotel. She occasionaly went to the hotel when scheduled off. Nobody noticed or questioned her about it.

I do believe these tendencies run in families and are passed down to the children whether by nature/and/or nuture.

I don't know. All I can think is that a parent might make excuses for such a child and seek to protect them from being found out, or the child learns to hide the signs that they understand cause suspicion in others, and so the adults just have a suspicion that the child "isn't right" but they don't have proof, and maybe they want to blind themselves to it and hope the child will grow out of it?

It's not something I've researched, but I remember reading something about an empathy gene, and that most people would have either one or two copies of it, but those without any copies of it might be more likely to have this personality type? But there has to be more than that to it? I think nurture can play a role, yet I also think sometimes psychopaths are born to the nicest mothers (usually it seems to be the mother in the household and the father is either absent or always working or something? At least in my mind it's that way.) and that the mother simply can't cope with the child. Maybe sometimes the absence of the father part of it? Not in the sense that a child needs the father figure (though I do think that having healthy role models in parents is a good thing I also think that a single parent can provide the role model where that's the only or preferable option) but in the sense that maybe there could be a father to son genetic component and the father isn't good at forming relationships or tends to form abusive relationships so he either abandons the family (lack of empathy with their needs) or the mother leaves with the children? Or maybe the father ends up in prison and that causes the separation?

But I don't really know enough about it to have any more than these thoughts in my mind, I can't point to research to confirm or deny what I'm suggesting.

JMO, everyone wants an "all expenses paid" business trip to Las Vegas. I heard in the news last night lots of LE from other areas/states have been volunteering to send officers to "help out" with the investigation. Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink.
