My goodness that facial recon looks nearly identical to John David Higham!

I noticed that both "Douglas Baker" and John David Higham have dental records and fingerprints on file, so it seems like the two could be compared but might not automatically generate a match ("Doug" also has DNA on file but John doesn't). Has anyone heard back from Clark County about a possible match?

I was looking through the database of people wanted by the state of Florida, trying to see if "Douglas Baker" might be in it-- http://pas.fdle.state.fl.us/pas/person/displayWantedPersonsSearch.a. Unfortunately, it is slow going because you need at least the first few letters of a surname or you need a nickname to search (as opposed to being able to search by vital statistics and the date of the warrant, which would have made the process a heck of a lot easier). I looked through all the wanted white men with the surname Baker (and ones that I thought were relatively close, such as Beck, Bach, Cook, etc.) hoping that someone (possibly from Orange Co, FL (Orlando) who was wanted for drugs) would stand out and haven't had much luck. The closest I could find was a Robert Bauman wma 6'2" 215 lbs brown hair/blue eyes dob 3/27/1956 who was wanted for a probation violation in Miami Dade. The warrant was dated 6/13/1983. No tattoos or scars. No photo. Yet it doesn't really seem close enough (IMO).

I also used the database to see if I could find a potential match for "Randy Doe" from Pasco County (searching for people whose nickname or surname was Randy or something similar) and haven't found anyone that stood out.

I looked into this case also. I thought that there was a possible similarity between this Las Vegas John Doe and a man that went missing out of California on October 31st of 1986 named Steven Allan Davis:

http://charleyproject.org/cases/d/davis_steven.html

Steven Allan Davis isn't listed in NamUs, so presumably there's no DNA for CODIS. Height, weight, eye color match, and I kept thinking there is a bit of a similarity with the face.

I did a little digging, and it looks as if Davis was possibly listed as having died on November 1st, 1986:

I'm working under the assumption that he was simply declared dead - minus a body, years after the fact. I sent in an e-mail to Cal. State Missing Person's about Davis (not the John Doe) asking if he should even still be listed.

I sent in an email to LV Coroner and to SFPD, I haven't heard anything back yet. It'd be nice if they could just automatically tell you if you're wrong.

"Unusually long fingers" is pretty interesting. The recon looks very familiar though!

Going back and looking at this one again. Looks like Steven Allan Davis was entered in NamUs in September of 2015. Here's his NamUs page:

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/show/30326

NamUs page for Steven Allan Davis states that initial DNA testing is under way. Dental and fingerprints have been entered, which would have presumably provided a match if Mr. Davis was the same person as the Las Vegas John Doe.

6' 4" with unusually long fingers suggests Marfan Syndrome to me.

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/marfan-syndrome/

I would imagine that, given the age estimation for this man, he was born in the 1950s when both understanding of and treatment for the condition would have been much more basic than it is today.

According to the Wikipedia article:

Prior to modern cardiovascular surgical techniques and drugs such as losartan, and metoprolol, the prognosis of those with Marfan syndrome was not good: a range of untreatable cardiovascular issues was common. Lifespan was reduced by at least a third, and many died in their teens and twenties due to cardiovascular problems.

Bumping- When I saw his height and the thing about his fingers, I immediately thought Marfan syndrome as well. I wonder if there were any heart/ocular problems that would have been noticed in the autopsy?

UPDATE: I tipped Dustin Dricoll regarding the Higham possibility and he's not Douglas

EDIT: Never mind, just noticed he has an artificial right eye. That would seemingly rule him out.

What about John Edward Parks?

There are very few details about his disappearance but the general physical details match and he was last seen in 1982. I think he definitely resembles Douglas.

Never say never. He looks a LOT like Douglas. Douglas may have had an artificial eye that they didn't mention.

Where is the information stating he had an artificial eye? I'm not seeing it on his NamUs or DoeNet page.
If this is true, I feel like it makes the Marfan syndrome theory a lot more plausible, since people with that condition tend to have a lot of ocular problems.

No, I meant John had one. Douglas could have had one too, and they may have not mentioned it.

I think they really look alike too. I think Johns fingers look "long" in the picture of him as well.

It wasn't John, he was ruled out a while ago. Also, I'm only just realizing that Douglas was REALLY TALL!!! That's gonna help ID him I bet, along with the long fingers.
