Yes military is still my first bet. Maybe an injured veteran with a leg injury.
Also because of the way he operates. Scanning the environment. Confident.
Aware of the surroundings etc.
Is big trucks a 'military thing' ? :D

My husband drives a Honda Civic, lol. However, we lived in military housing for 15 years before buying a home. The big trucks tended to be more Army/Marine than Air Force/Navy/Coast Guard. This is a generalization of course, but a trend nonetheless.

Another generalization, certain jobs tend to perform better/worse on their physical training tests. My husband is intelligence (desk job) in the Air Force and A LOT of his co workers have had trouble staying in shape. More physical jobs tend to have more in shape service members and are more prone to injury. (Though my desk job Airman husband managed to tear his meniscus twice.)

So, if I had to guess, based on my 17 years as a military spouse, I'd guess this suspect is in mid-late 30's, prior or active duty in the Army, if he has ever been enlisted in the military. I would also not be surprised if he was/is an MP (military police.)

I know her brother has said that he doesn't believe the date the day before plays a role, but it definitely makes you wonder.

I met my husband online but that was 10 years ago. Even then, I came across some really strange characters. I never gave out much info myself.. but maybe she had chatted with other people, building some connection, and mentioned work details. Just something that's crossed my mind now that the online dating came up

Early to mid-thirties. Others are seeing an athletic build, I got more of a big ole farm boy sort of vibe. Can throw a lot of bales of hay. If he was a jock, wrestling or football. Athlete gone a bit soft, maybe.

I also associate that type of boot with muddy work. Sort of like Wellie style barn boots. Easy to clean off and sturdy.

All this from a murky CCTV picture, but I have a vivid imagination.

Exactly what I thought! Farm boy + truck
I would guess him to be mid 30s to mid 40s, wearing those boots and a belt buckle while driving that farm, hunting, dog riding in the back, pull your ATV on a trailer kind of truck.

I'm thinking they just assumed that person would come forward and contact them. At the same time, I don't see any harm in putting that info out there ASAP..it actually would make more sense to do so, since time is of the essence.

It makes me nervous because it makes me feel like they NEED that person to come forward, as they may not have much to go on at this point. Hope I'm wrong though

My thought is that car could have been dropping off or picking someone up and that's stupid o'clock in the morning for a lot of people. They may not have even connected to being there to Naomi going missing if they were there for another reason, like the Wal-Mart shift. And lots of people just don't watch the news or follow stuff like this like we do. They have normal hobbies, heh.

I would hope, though, that LE spoke to all the people who work in the area that would be there at that time.

I'm hoping they connected the suspect to the truck is because they have CCTV of him in the truck. Traffic cam or Wal-Mart, maybe.

Wow I guess I just assumed they had talked to the person who drove that car with the headlights. I'm kind of surprised they're just now putting out info on wanting to talk to them and even more surprised that this person has not come forward of their own volition. It makes me think either 1) they are somehow involved; 2) they honestly don't know about this case, which would surprise me; 3) have some other reason they don't want to talk to LE - involved with something else? Distrust? Etc. Hopefully now that's it out there, they will come forward ASAP.

Watching the video, it seems likely they would have noticed a man walking right in front of their headlights and standing near their car. I guess if they pulled in, parked, and immediately put their head down to do something on their phone, they could have missed him.

Yes that's exactly what I'm thinking.
Do you know who is in charge of ambassy staff's security. Is that the military?

That car's licence plate should be on some camera footage.
