"RECOVERED! Last night SD was located, rescued and reunited with her family in a joint operation between SERT Ministries (www.SERTMinistries.com), The Association for the Recovery of Children (ARC) (www.recoveryofchildren.org) and LAPD Wilshire Division. After over a month of separation, she is now SAFE, in her family's arms, and on the road to HEALING. Another miracle!"

This blurb was posted on the above page----The organizations involved are wonderful! SD's family got with the right people to help find her daughter.

The family had such a GREAT & active FB page, personal website for tips, and mom's recent video message were all KEY in getting her name, pic & info out to SO MANY helped in this case. Along with the agencies they worked with, kudos to them!! I am so happy for this family.

The family are asking for privacy at this time as they should. Prayers go out to S and her recovery.

I just hope info on the two men arrested & circumstances surrounding this case are released. Especially if it involved HT as the mother stated in her video message.

It would help with so many other missing women/young gal cases. SD was from UT, abducted in Las Vegas and found in Venice, CA......very interesting.

So so happy to hear this news!

I think her name should be redacted. She's still a minor and is going to have enough to overcome.

I agree. It's a challenge, however, because of the volume of publicity, and statements made in the media prior to the victim's return/recovery. But as always, we will do our part on WS to protect the young lady's privacy. I trust our members will cooperate, and refer to the victim only as "SD".

TIA!

LVPD is disputing that SD was kidnapped or trafficked.

Officer Michael Rodriguez, of the Las Vegas Police Department, said: 'Her mother told us that she was taken by sex traffickers. We found that not to be true.'

And:

Missing Utah teenager [S D] 'was not kidnapped' and there is 'no evidence any crime has occurred' in Las Vegas, police have disclosed to DailyMail.com.

The 17-year-old is also said to have left the MGM Grand hotel with two men 'willingly' and without putting up any sort of struggle.

Further, sources at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said they were not notified about the case until January 30 – a full two weeks after the high school student disappeared.

Dailymail.com has also learned that a missing persons report was filed to police the day after the teenager's alleged kidnapping not by her mother in St. George, as it was believed, but in Logan, where S lives with her father Michael, 40, and his wife Terri, 39.

There's much more at the link.

Captain Curtis Hooley of the Logan Police Department told DailyMail.com that Sarah was reported missing on January 16. But she was due to return to Logan on January 3 after a holiday a visit to her mother's home in St. George.

'It is unclear why Sarah's parents did not discuss her whereabouts between January 3 and January 16. Captain Hooley told DailyMail.com that he is 'unsure' of the warmth of the relationship between the two.

Further inquiries made in Logan revealed that Sarah had spent time with her mother in St. George before traveling to Las Vegas with 'a male acquaintance' on or around January 14.

On January 15, Sarah visited the casino at the MGM Grand and, according to Logan police who spoke to her male friend, she was seen by her friend leaving with two others.
Pressed on whether the teenager appeared to be putting up a fight or unwilling, Captain Hooley said: 'She left with a couple of other males. She did not appear to be struggling. She didn't seem unwilling at all'.

Just because she left willingly doesn't mean she wasn't being trafficked. Can we find arrest logs that might help us determine the charges?

Saw this one coming. That video plea was just too weird and staged. And recording her reunion to post on Facebook? Come on. If I'm proven wrong later I'll eat my words, but I never bought a single word from this mom.

Wow, how odd. They can't ALL have been in on it, though, right?

I have tried but the Los Angeles County Jail takes in a lot of people and I was unsucessful attempting to match any to SD. It's only my assumption that if they were actually charged with anything it would be harboring a run away.
