I take issue with the statement that anyone who uses public computers for job searches is a loser. I am a public librarian here in Manhattan, and you'd be surprised at the variety of people who come in to use our computers for all kinds of things - research, job searches, just for fun, etc. People of all ages and socioeconomic levels. Not everyone is a pro at finding what they need on the internet, even if they have a computer at home, and if someone is newly unemployed and/or hasn't been unemployed for a long time, they often need our (the librarians') assistance on the best job search sites and how to go about matching up their skills with the appropriate employer. Sorry webrocket, I always look forward to reading your posts - just sticking up for public libraries, their computers, and the valuable services we offer to people from all backgrounds - not just "losers".
