Tanya's case has also gone quiet recently. The last I knew she made contact with her family earlier this month, but I've seen no details in the MSM about that. What was discussed, her current location, etc. hasn't been released AFAIK.

Yes that is a good point. We don't know how contact was made with her family earlier this month, but I do recall reading that Tanya didn't have her own phone.

IMO this "family contact" situation is strange. Did Tanya contact her family via phone, text, FB, or some other method? If it was via phone or text, who's phone was used? More importantly, did she say where she was or provide any details about her disappearance?

If the entire contact with her family was via text messages, and her voice wasn't heard, then it's at least possible that Tanya herself did not sent the messages.

I'm assuming Tanya is still technically 'missing' but this situation seems most unusual.

I also found that to be quite odd. I think of a phone as a "must have/basic necessity" item, so the fact that there were apparently funds to travel to multiple destinations to escape the cold weather for warmer climates, but not enough funds for her to have her own phone, that just doesn't make sense to me.

Unsure if it's simply a case of bad money management (wants coming before needs) or something more; such as one partner not wanting the other to have the freedom and privacy of having their own phone vs. sharing.

As I understand it- part of the process of removing a person from a MP list is ensuring they are also "safe" and not being "coerced" by another person to say something that isn't true. That usually means contact directly with LE, who hopefully puts enough effort into the well check to be certain.

That's what I was thinking also, but the reply Knox posted above makes sense.

It's curious that we don't really have any details, AFAIK, about this 'family contact' earlier this month. I don't know if LE has been in contact with Tanya, but if so I've not heard about it. I can't see FB accounts, but there might be some details there. It's an odd situation to be sure.

Quoting my own post here from last month. So far I haven't seen any details regarding this 'contact' Tanya supposedly had with her family.

I'm not clear on whether Tanya is still missing.

Do we know if her BF returned home after she went missing?

She has been updating her FB since last spring mostly with profile photos changes, states she works at a casino on Fremont and is married. I cannot find any news articles stating she was found.
