Teen couple charged with murdering girl's father in Las Vegas

A teenage girl and her boyfriend were busted for allegedly killing her father in Las Vegas, according to police and reports.

Aaron Guerrero, 18, and his 16-year-old girlfriend —identified by FOX 5 as Sierra Halseth — were arrested in Salt Lake City and will be extradited back to Nevada on charges of open murder, Las Vegas police announced Tuesday.

The pair are accused of killing the girl’s dad, Daniel Halseth, 45, whose burned body was discovered in the garage of his Las Vegas home on Friday. Investigators said evidence showed Halseth was killed prior to the intentionally set fire.

Police allege that they tried to dismember the body with the power tools prior to setting the home on fire, KTNV reported.

"The recording of Aaron Guerrero, 18, and Sierra Halseth, 16, was found after they were arrested for allegedly stabbing Halseth's dad Daniel Halseth to death at his home in Las Vegas in April.

'Welcome back to our YouTube Channel: Day 3 after murdering somebody,' Guerrero says in the video, while they each show three fingers to the camera.

Halseth chimes in 'Woah! Don't put that on camera!' before making a silly face.

'It was worth it,' Guerrero says while cradling her head in his hands.

The video shows Guerrero and Halseth lying together on what appears to be a sleeping bag inside a tent outdoors while Halseth giggle and covers her mouth with her hand.

Guerrero then pats her face twice before pretending to choke her - as she bugs her eyes out for the camera and makes a choking noise.

He then appears to kiss the top of her head as she lifts it from the ground.

Guerrero makes an unsettling laughing sound while the two nuzzle each other affectionately before the video ends."

had Halseth arrested on suspicion of open.and .gross lewdness. Also 2014 she reported he should be paying $2,274 in child support. He was also to return Sierra so mom got CPS involved.

"A Las Vegas father was stabbed 70 times before his body was cut up and burned in a grizzly murder allegedly carried out by his teenage daughter and her boyfriend.

The mutilated remains of Daniel Halseth, 45, were found stuffed in a sleeping bag in the garage of his home on April 9. His daughter, Sierra Halseth, 16, and her boyfriend, Aaron Guerrero, 18, were arrested in Utah four days later.

The pair have both been indicted on charges of murder, conspiracy, arson and robbery, and are being held behind bars.

On Wednesday, an autopsy report released by the Clark County Coroner shed new light on how Daniel met his violent end.

The coroner determined Daniel had been stabbed 70 times, including 42 times in the back. One of the stab wounds cut through a major artery in his neck, while both of his lungs had been punctured.

He additionally sustained wounds to his shoulders, hands, wrists and fingers. At least one wound appeared to have been made by a saw.

Daniel was 'subsequently mutilated' before being placed into a sleeping bag which was set on fire. He suffered burns to 40 percent of his body.

Prosecutors believe Sierra and Aaron carried out the gruesome murder after Daniel forbade them from seeing each other."

Really feel there has to be more to know, it can't have come from nowhere. You don't go from (apparently) loving father-daughter relationship to murdering him at 16 unless there is something else going on. Even if the bf is charismatic, influential, sociopathic, whatever. Does she have underlying mental illness or personality disorders, for example? Or was the relationship between her and her dad actually dysfunctional or abusive? idk I feel I need to know more before I go all in on pronouncing evil. At least on the part of the daughter. I feel like the bf has no excuse, no matter what.
