LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The FBI was searching Tuesday for a Las Vegas woman who last claimed she was in Mexico.

Zailey Unidad Flores, 21, was last heard from by phone on Jan. 12, according to an FBI missing person poster.

April Reed, Flores’ mother, told the 8 News Now Investigators that her daughter seemed incoherent when she spoke with her. Reed said that this was the first red flag.

A series of events followed that also raised her suspicions. Reed said that she received a call demanding $500 for her daughter and that when she requested a photo for “proof of life,” that was never provided.

Reed also said that she learned about a man in his 40s, who said that he fell in love with her daughter and they went to Mexico together, but he claims that he doesn’t know where her daughter is.

...

Anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI. The Las Vegas office can be reached at 702-385-1281. The FBI is also urging anyone with information to contact the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.

I especially don't like this part of the FBI info in the OP:

"Flores has scars on her left arm, left hand, left and right wrists, and vertical scars on her palms. She also has burn marks on both of her legs. Her left and right shins have burn marks that are brown in color, likely from cigarettes."

That seems very worrisome MOO.

The FBI said she is known to change her hair color, usually between brown, black or a partially copper color. She also goes by the names “Luna,” “Uni” and “Zay.”

The family decided to contact law enforcement when Reed's family began receiving random messages through social media with very low ransoms of about $750.

Ricardo De La Torre, Zailey's supposed boyfriend, sent screenshots to Reed of a Facebook page that had posts about Zailey, she said. The person running that page asked Reed for ransoms.

Seems Zailey has had previous trouble with the law due to some mental health issues...

I hope she is found ASAP and gets the help she needs.

Woman reportedly stole car to get the attention of authorities - East Idaho News

REXBURG — An Arizona woman found in a stolen car reportedly said she wanted the attention of law enforcement because the world is coming to an end.

Zailey Unidad Flores, 20, is charged with felony grand theft of a car and misdemeanor petit theft. According to an affidavit of probable cause obtained by EastIdahoNews.com, Flores told Madison County Sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday that she stole a 2015 Kia to get the attention of authorities.

Deputies were called around 9 p.m. about the stolen car that was stuck in a field at the end of a dirt road on South 4000 West near the Burton area. Investigators found Flores in the vehicle, which had been reported stolen out of Las Vegas, Nevada.

“She made several comments about the world coming to an end and that she needed to tell as many people as possible,” a deputy wrote in the probable cause.

She's been found.
