Have they recessed for the day?
Day 2 recap by AG James. Sorry to the folks who can't access Twitter, but the tweet is a video so can't copy & paste text.
Seems that disparaging the D.A. violates the gag order??
He says his disclaimer covers him for providing false information on financial statements (which is an absurd defense - everyone is a victim if businesses are not held to truthful reporting), but also this morning in the courtroom lobby he states his financial statements are "perfect."Blabbering Donald Trump Essentially Admits to Fraud in New York Trial
Blabbering Donald Trump Essentially Admits to Fraud in New York Trial
Donald Trump kicked off the second day of his fraud trial in New York on Tuesday by essentially admitting to the crimes.New York Attorney General Letitia James sued Trump in September 2022 for fraud, accusing him and his associates of gaining more than $100 million by fraudulently inflating the...www.yahoo.com
Trump insisted Tuesday that his organization’s financial documents were not the least bit fraudulent—but even if they were, he couldn’t be held responsible because it was up to the lenders and insurers to fact-check that.
“Many, many warnings. Page one, page two, and many pages, it says, ‘Please, you must understand that you have to do your own due diligence.… Do not rely on anything, do not rely on the financial statements,’” he told reporters at midday.
I guess because authorities are dictating people to follow the law, taking away the freedom to fraud. ?? He is speaking gibberish.Committing fraud with your business and getting caught is somehow akin to COMMUNISM?
Maybe a stronger one. Looking at yesterday's order, it seems it is limited to court staff and not sure the D.A. falls under that category?? I hope the judge addresses the issue today.Aren't there any consequences for breaking a gag order ?
Yes, I do think his supporters would continue sending him money. But, he is also losing his ability to do business in NY so I guess that means setting up shop elsewhere and losing out on NY business. And, he definitely has lost face and is seen as a business laughingstock, imo, on a wider scale than previously. This case hurts, even if his supporters continue to support him.So if, supposing, ball-park,the judge will rule as punishment $200.000,0000 restitution.. I have this strong feeling he will tearfully email-beg all his rubes to help him pay it... and they likely will. I am dead serious.
