I am wondering if possibly that the date they celebrate her birth date? Maybe its when the brought her home? Just because thats what is shown in public doesnt mean its what is on the young ladies legal paperwork.

We celebrate Oct 2 as our daughters "gotcha day" the day we finalized it. It's not her birthday however. I agree that it could be the day they brought her home or the day it was finalized.

She voluntarily terminated her parental rights. Noone fed her heroin and made her sign that document, certainly not Rosie! She doesn't get to change her mind 17 years later and claim she's a good mother and that Rosie stole her. Nothing could be further from the truth. This woman has shown she lies, uses drugs, has a history of burglary, etc. etc. I know who the better mother is here.

Where did I suggest Rosie forced the woman to do anything at all?

If she signed the document while under the influence of heroin she may not have been of "sound mind." And while she may indeed blame Rosie, the adoption agency is at fault, not Rosie IF her allegation is true.

Any video should reveal whether or not she was of sound mind.

She alleged it. And #11 in the document she signed states that she is of sound mind and not on drugs, so if she was she perjured herself in writing!

A spokesman for police in Barnegat, N.J. told the Associated Press that investigators in O'Donnell's hometown of South Nyack, N.Y. had informed them that they believed 17-year-old Chelsea O'Donnell was in the Jersey Shore community.

Barnegat Police Lt. Keith Germain said that when officers went to the residence, the person answering the door initially did not want to reveal Chelsea's presence. Police responded that they would not leave until she came out. Chelsea then appeared and left with police without incident, Germain said.

She was with one other person when she was found. The male was not immediately identified. “We’re not sure what her relationship is to that person at this point,” Wilson said.

Asked if the male was her daughter’s friend, O’Donnell said no. “She does not have friends. She’s really not well,” the mom said.

Wilson said police were able to track her down through “third-party contacts” and “associates that she has.”

Chelsea was not reported missing until Sunday because O’Donnell had believed she was staying with friends.

The teen had no phone or computer with her when she left home with her six-month-old therapy dog Bear on Aug. 11, Wilson said.

The sergeant said there was no fight that preceded her leaving home, but he indicated the mother and daughter had a turbulent relationship.

The cop said he doesn’t “know the status” of Chelsea’s dog.

Wait Rosie said
She does not have friends. She’s really not well,
then later the story says
Chelsea was not reported missing until Sunday because O’Donnell had believed she was staying with friends.

Sooo she has friends but doesn't have friends..

I thought the same!

Sorry for saying, but Rosie just doesn't give me the "loving mother" vibe. Who knows....maybe her daughter was sick of Rosie talking about throwing menstrual fluid onto people.....IDK. I'm sure this isn't a popular opinion, but I've never been a fan. Regardless, the girl is obligated to NOT run away until she's 18, but I'm a little curious about the atmosphere in their home.

Rosie can sometimes be an obnoxious bigmouth. I don't always care for her politics. But even if she sent her away to boarding school, she's still clearly the better, more fit mother than a drug-addicted, lying, criminal!!!

I have never been a fan of Rosie's and do not see a warm, loving, affectionate side to her.
How would a caring mother assume your daughter had gone to friends for a week without prior arrangements being made? Not in this world we live in today!

What teenager leaves her cell phone at home?! How did she get 130 miles from home? Did she pack a bag? Had she stopped taking her medicine before she left home or just did not take her medicine with her? Would not taking her medicine with her be an urgent reason to get in touch with her and not just pass it off that she was with friends?

I truly do not think we have been told the whole story on C's missing story.

My opinions only.

Well Just my opinion which wont be popular I'm sure but I've raised 3 girls so I can safely say that she is in her DARK yrs. Probably a spoiled rotten rich teen. I think Rosie would do well to let her go live with her BIO mom and save herself a lot of heartache. Maybe when she grows up and can appreciate what Rosie has done for her she can come back JMO!

I agree. A seriously ill child in need of medication should have been reported as missing immediately rather than waiting five days. I think we'll be hearing the child's side of the story after she turns 18.

On another note on the adoption. In one of the texts between Rosie and bio-mom, Rosie texts that she put bio-mom and ex up for several months and bought them a TV and then they split (took off).

It was not clear to me if this was before the adoption or after the adoption. Does anyone know? How did Rosie initially come in contact with this couple?

The bio-moms text to Rosie accusing her of paying her ex off to get him to sign the papers gives me the feeling that Rosie knew the couple before the birth and adoption. If what Rosie says about putting them up is true, then was bio-mom aware of the identity of the person or who did she think paid for it?

My intuition tells me that a representative for Rosie handled it, not Rosie personally. A star would not get personally involved or their life could become a living nightmare. IMO.

In actuality, these texts sound childish between these two grown women. IMO.

I never said she should be with bio mom. However, I do think that Chelsea might have gotten annoyed with Rosie (I know I would), and took off somewhere.

Being a fit mother is NOT the same as being a GOOD mother. IMO. I have plenty of people in my life who are not on drugs, successful, etc. but their kids are miserable and unhappy, because they are unloving and distant with their children.

This is pathetic to say, but what better way to get a fast response from the police department than to say a child has a mental illness and needs their medication and is missing?

*Not a child, a teen who is almost 18 and can legally walk away
*Has already been gone 5 days
*Parent is a Star

Yup! Two of DH's nieces came to live with us at different times- both when they were 17, because their mother, DH's sister had died, father is worthless substance abuser. I got cr*p from both of them about, "I don't have to listen to you, you're NOT my mother!!". Neither of them lasted because they couldn't abide by our rules. Now they are in their 30's, have kids, own houses, and careers (in that order) and in somewhat stable relationships, and now they respect me. But teenage girls at 17 are the hardest, especially when they aren't your own!
BBM. Quoting myself in response. Chelsea may have started giving Rosie a hard time when she discovered her bio mom. She may not appreciate Rosie. Even though I may not always care for Rosie's politics or methods, I believe she did the right thing in handling the adoption and the texts from biomom.

And it worked! Thanks to Rosie's PR, Chelsea has been safely found.

Isn't Chelsea also the adopted child of Kelli Carpenter? Yet I've not seen any public comment from Kelli.

Regardless of who the child is and/or who the parents are she still is Rosie's responsibility. I have a feeling this isn't the first and won't be the last attempt by Chelsea to get away from the dynamic that is Rosie.

I never much cared for Rosie, but the final straw for me was when she was suppose to adopt a baby awhile back, when she found out the baby had health problems she backed out completely. Same birth mother of her other daughter, and surgery could have most likely fixed it. Just sad, the whole thing, I hope that if Chelsea did go off her meds they will get her into a doctor to determine if she can possibly come off of them, lower the dosage or if simply staying on them is her best option. No matter what I just hope she is getting proper medical care, and Rosie realizes she only has a small amount of time left before Chelsea's an adult who will make her own decisions.
