This is the Throg's Neck Bridge where his car was found: Google Maps

It's over the body of water known as East River, which is not a river--it connects Long Island Sound to the Upper New York Bay. It's a tidal estuary and the water flows both ways depending on which direction the tide is coming from. The Wikipedia article has a lot of detail about it, along with pictures and historical notes. East River - Wikipedia.

So if he did indeed jump off the Throg's Neck Bridge, his body could have been pushed and pulled most any direction.

ugh he could be anywhere if he indeed jumped. Did they say where on the bridge they found the car?

I didn't find anything specific. It's a long bridge.

It sounds a lot like the case of that girl in New Orleans a couple of seeks ago. She left the engine running too.

Sounds like a cut and dried suicide. I wonder what he was depressed about?
