Daily News, 21 February 99, pages 950 and 951 - article on NY City missing young people, primarily girls. I found this article in newspapers dot com by searching off of Tiffany Dixon's name. Including articles as .pdf files here as they are full newspaper pages. If this doesn't work correctly or there is some other posting related issue, please advise.

What can we do to bring more exposure to these young girls.

I honestly think one of these girls will end up being a black jane doe somewhere.

Someone on another site complied where most of these girls went missing (they referenced my post) and put up a map. If I am recalling correctly, most if not all of these girls disappeared from a VERY small distance...

BUMP!

Makes me wonder if any of the girls knew one another? Would be easier to sort that out today with social media...

These young women have been on my mind for a year...I have submitted the following:

I have been thinking one of these girls might be places for a very long time now. Thank you for submitting.

Another interesting thing is that someone made a map of where these girls went missing.... it doesn't look good. A lot of them went missing blocks away from each other if I am recalling the map correctly.

How can we get law enforcement to pay attention to this?

It’s not the map, it’s also not where they actually went missing. Often, when the exact coordinates are not recorded by LE, NamUs will put in a centralized location. In this case, they, and a few others are clustered around 82nd street and a Central Park West.

I’ve reached out to the 2 detectives overseeing these cases- not that they’ll give me much but it can’t hurt

Bumping up. This is so sad.

Who can we tag in this thread who is good at finding those old articles? I must start paying better attention to who posts what.

There was probably a child predator in the area who was never caught for these crimes. :( All JMO.
Can anyone find any other articles, especially on the girls with barely any info in their profiles?

Arverne Jane Doe's NamUs page was modified yesterday, although whatever info was updated, it remains hidden to the public. I've submitted AJD for several missing girls, so perhaps someone has been excluded. As for old newspaper articles, sadly, there's nothing. Infuriating.

Frustratingly little information. It scares me to think how many more went unreported
. I read an article about missing SHARMEEN SMALLS and her family said the cases at that time were on paper. I wonder if the hand writing is wrong...
Do you remember where you read that article?

Here are the WS threads for the other girls
NY - Inez Silverio, 17, Brooklyn, June 30 1992

NY - Jessica Soto, 14, New York, Jan 6, 1991

NY - Leona Rodriguez, 16, New York, Aug 15, 1991

NY -Tanya Blaerove, 15, New York, Aug 21 1991

NY - Elease Farmer, 15, New York, July 1,1991

NY - Harriette Hoyt, 15, Brooklyn, 2 November 1990

NY - Tiffany Dixon, 12, Brooklyn, 10 Oct 1991

Should we have a mod combine them?

I don't sadly. But I will try to find an article again.

I am glad that this is finally getting traction. Has anyone else been able to find any new info?
