I wonder if Steve and Heidi who ultimately made the decision to call 911, had discussed previously among themselves the dire situation that was Evanna. I mean like them KNOWING or even suspecting in the days leading up to 12/3 that she would be more than likely hospitalized if they brought her in somewhere and all the scrutiny that would come with that. They had been through these situations in the past, and those ended with children being removed. So, IMO they put their heads in the sand like a damned ostrich, and assumed her condition wasn't urgent or deadly or important...until her little body couldn't fight anymore, and she collapsed. In other words, they made the decision to save themselves (by not getting her seen sooner) and instead sacrificed Evanna. It's just so sad

Mother: Heidi Tranberg, 50. Charged with manslaughter.
Father: Steven Bennett, 61. Charged with manslaughter.

Heidi and Steven have 7 more children besides Evanna.

Venuska Tranberg-Bennett, 26. Charged (specifics unknown)
Venuska has 5 children.

FWIW, Steve directed one of the younger sisters to call 911. But yeah, IMO it's possible they delayed getting help because of the many times the kids were taken away in the past.

We see that all the time here in cases where a child is harmed either by abuse or neglect and the caregiver doesn't call for help out of fear of losing the child to CPS custody. Then the child dies. Terrible logic yet it happens.

Wow, Venuska and the TB family are now power posting on the WTEN and Chatham Community Board FB pages. They're raging because neither authorities nor the public are responding to the posted audio files that the family believes are evidence of corruption and abuse. IMO they don't see the obvious coaching, manipulation and editing in the files that we all see.

My own personal opinion based on reading the recent posts is that they've become redundant, repetitive and full of contradictions. Well, more so than normal. In any case IMO it's good that the children are safely away from this emotional meltdown. MOO.

the comments on the boards are NOT going well for them lol.. it's amazing how that goes when they can't control the narrative and delete all posts that question anything ....apparently everyone is a social worker or state worker talking about them ...not paranoid at all .

From their post statements it’s evident they were aware of her health & chose to delay. The WHY could be exactly as you state, but in essence that doesn’t even matter legally. Remember, their own public statements show their earlier observations, their acknowledging an intent to go to their Boston Homeopath, then a changed acknowledgment to go to a hospital. Ultimately chose to delay where a reasonable person would not. AND we don’t even know the evidence or EMT, police statements the State has... only what they decide to share.

AGREE... They’ve continued on a track regarding corruption in the county based on some support for that idea because of a few people who weren’t happy with Sherriff/DA regarding their own cases. The bottom line anyone (they) should or likely should be focused on is on the juvenile & criminal case. Any audio/corruption files they share has zero bearing on... anything except to evade & distract. Seems the County responded to their abuse claims by rehoming them in different site care/workers. They’ll keep doing that... they don’t defy court orders just to appease allegations, “terrible” placement OR even if there were independent signs of abuse. Any medical needs leading to a child’s death is investigated. It was likely continued & children removal primarily based off their own statements at the time.

The 'raging snowstorm' described in their postings was quickly debunked by a national weather service note which was posted here on the first thread from last year.
Also, the evolving candy issue, IMO came about because of the contents of the GI tract suction which they more than likely witnessed in the hospital. removed.

As for the snow issue it also doesn’t matter. A 911 call for emergent need is always dealt w. Those areas have on-call town plows & a volunteer fire company who have capability to snowplow out so any form of rescue vehicles can get thru...and a plethora of others who listen to scanners for something to do/help. It isn’t a rural area in Nepal but one of the highest taxed US states lol! -And the Candy choking claim: they’ve also used that to state in posts it caused sudden unset pneumonia! ha! I also noted they posted several this regarding the autopsy: Primary, 3rd & 4th- never saw the 2nd.
*AGAIN .. IMO Choosing to intentionally disregard medical needs of a child that you have seen severe signs not normal in for a child that are noted by even children & other adults & worsening to THE POINT you decide she needs to be seen urgently by either a hospital or Doctor but WAIT & do Not call for help -means you chose a reckless action that no other reasonable adult would make knowing the same things they should have known. MOO

On Facebook, there are three different groups with similar titles: Chatham Community Board; Chatham Community Board New and Improved and Chatham NY Community Board.

You are mentioning just the publicly viewable groups in Chatham area only. There are several other private ones on FB & other sites. I had been offering up here some added consolidated factual info after sorting thru the gobs of gossip on other private groups & sites. Indeed a great thing about Websleuths is public view of everything .I’m surprised you haven’t found the private FB county groups on that you live in that area. Utilize FB search engine to find the groups.

....Shaking the snow off!.... Whew! Winter is definitely coming! I peeked in a FB page this am, and yes .....sigh....they are still at it. I am now calling their claims against all and forever the " Look... squirrel !! defense". None of it, IMO can or does answer THE question. Continued avoidance of answering THE question just makes it all the more obvious. Their secret covert tapes and coerced testimony's from minor children are just "squirrels" who have nothing to do with Evanna's neglect. All, IMHO.

Thank you so much for this - I finally understand the family make up. I breathed a sigh of relief seeing "foster care" after those minors' names. I'm not always a fan of foster care, but seeing the generational insanity, I do believe it would be best here - I am so glad they are finally charged and so hopeful that the minor children can be away from the crazy long enough to grow and thrive. ETA - I've followed this case since the beginning and had to stop reading the T-B postings because it was so tragic that children were still living in and exposed to that behavior. I'm crossing my fingers that the "adults" are sentenced to long enough that the minor children can break free (and hopefully "adults" are past reproductive years). It hit too close to home, as I have an in-law who has similar word-salad craziness and only 2 of her 4 children have broken free and live independently.

That about sums it up. Their FB posts have devolved into nearly identical rants. Then they comment on their own post and reply to their own replies. Crazy. I can't even listen to the audio files any more after opening the ones where they interrogate the minor children. Just heartbreaking.

Something is seriously wrong. Venuska posted that during the 2013 case in MA when the girls were in foster care her parents sneaked a camera in to them so they could secretly "document" their abusers. Where is that footage?

Hours of video proving their case and yet for 18 years they haven't revealed any of that so-called evidence. And now it's all happening again in New York. Poor Evanna, neglected to death. Why?

It’s rather telling that “we” can only go off what they post/comment/reply yet see discrepancies & recognize statements they’ve made which for myself at least show clear evidence that I myself see at least the parents & Venuska Tranberg-Bennett as criminally guilty. YET we aren’t even aware of what additional evidence will be shown at trial! There would HAVE to be a preponderance of evidence given to a Judge to secure the Criminal Summons for the others- they’ve alluded to some w Petra & web searches- Indeed I EXPECT MOO that DA investigators will have been logging ALL their Facebook posts & those too will be used as evidence for exactly what we all see as discrepancies etc
