]Will there be anybody who will attend the parole hearing(s) to speak for Garnett [/U](assuming that such a thing is allowed in NY) -- and to plead that LS be denied parole? That's a long time from now. Are there caring family members? Garnett was so young, he may not have been able to meet and make impressions on many people. It's worrisome, IMO.
I think we have heard about members of Sharon Tate's family always being present at parole hearings for the convicts involved in the Tate/LaBianca murders. And they are still in the slammer.
Yes, a premature worry, but that's me all over, folks. Just wonderin' and SMH...
BBM:
Greetings & salutations, ALL! This is my first opportunity to respond to the sentencing, DH did attend (for some damn reason, the "bad" guys & gals in my jurisdiction thought this week was multiple murder/killing week, so I had to work!:tantrum: ) and he indicated that 1. there is a collection of documents that remain in the prosecution file that "goes with" the convict as a sort of "employment record/jacket" and these documents are itemizations, opinions, statements and behavioral facts supporting the denial of parole, 2. documents of healthcare professionals who treated & fought for GS are present, again supporting the denial of parole and 3. testimonials of public citizens who were effected & affected by the convict's actions & words as she tortured GS, again indicating that parole should be denied as she is dangerous to them. There are members of the LE communities who anticipate attending any future parole hearings to speak against release and possibly other community members.
IBM:
The "caring family" were ready to storm the courtroom with victim statements FOR the convict, essentially AGAINST Garnett (NO, "they" never worded it that way but that's EXACTLY what it would be) and at the sentencing, thus the PROSECUTION team spoke for THEIR VICTIM, the "loving family" provided letters to the Court for the convict to receive leniency!
It appeared to DH that the convict was pissed over the sentence, angry "big time" over the Judge's comment regarding "mental illness", and acted like this entire experience was a major inconvenience to HER! He was told that "in -holding" she pitched a hissie cause she was hustled off so quickly (the command: "step RIGHT" was for HER & expected to be obeyed immediately), that the female guards were "pushy" & LS expected to "chat" with her lawyers (GOSSIP: she was very very fond of the tallest one, looking up with doe eyes & "adoration", she was NOT pleased that her suit jacket was wrinkled (& polyester blend, I bet!, thought the "attendants" (guards!) crushed it :thinking.
Her lawyers were stunned over the MSBP comment as it was NOT mentioned in trial BUT (GOSSIP: the Judge stated to DT & PT after that he had done HIS research & he stood by HIS comment that one need NOT be a "shrink" (in court he used the professional term, psychiatrist :happydance and that HIS comments were HIS interpretation & advice, not judicial case law!).
