BABYLON BODY PARTS…SCPD confirming a third body part found today.

Amazing development. Wonder what's behind it, don't you? Wonder if there are significant similarities to other Long Island body parts? Also wonder IF this is same guy from earlier LISK killings, also parts found on Long Island Parkway near Gilgo Four, who doesn't want RH getting credit for one of his kills? I suggest taking cadaver dogs back to Ocean Parkway, just in case he's deposited something there to confirm the connection . . . It'll be interesting to watch this develop.

''A group of teenagers walking to school stumbled upon a human's left arm at a Long Island park Thursday, according to police, and a dog later found a leg about a mile away.

Cops were called to the scene at Southards Park Pond, off Siegel Boulevard in Babylon Village, shortly before 9 a.m. when a parent of the students who found the arm called 911. That came after the teens spotted a person's left arm dumped in the bushes.''

''A short time later in the early afternoon, a police dog searching another part of the large park found a human leg under leaves about a mile from the first location — and not far from a nearby elementary school. Later in the evening, a right arm was found as well, close to where the first arm had been discovered in the morning.''

''The girl was walking to school around 8:40 a.m. when she found a left arm near Siegel Boulevard, which runs alongside Southards Pond Park, according to police. The arm had a distinct tattoo and no fingertips.
As a police dog searched the area, police said a leg was found sticking out of a pile of leaves on Graham Place between Beverly Road and Martin Place. Investigators told PIX11 News a right arm was also found.

It is unclear at this time if all the limbs belong to a single person or multiple victims.''

BABYLON, N.Y. -- Police say human body parts were found near a popular park in Babylon, and some of the remains were found by a student heading to high school.

Officials tell CBS New York this is being treated as a homicide, with caution tape strung up all around this neighborhood. There are still more questions than answers at this point.

A Suffolk County crime lab and a medical examiner vehicle were seen driving past Babylon Elementary School on Thursday afternoon, heading to a crime scene.

Police say that a high school student discovered a severed left arm as she was walking to school around 8:40 a.m.. Authorities say the body part was found on Siegal Boulevard right near Southards Park Pond, which is a popular area attraction.

That student called her father, who came to the scene and called 911.

NBC New York reported that the leg was found about a mile away from the left arm and not far from an elementary school.

Students at the school were kept inside for recess while police investigated the crime scene, the superintendent of the Babylon Unified School District said in a letter to parents, according to NBC New York. Mental health resources were also available to students at all grade levels who needed support.

Police said the remains found on the east end of the park — both arms — appear to be male.

The limbs appeared to have been discarded recently, police said, according to NBC New York. They hope to identify the body parts using DNA and by examining tattoos.

Police did not rule out the possibility that the incident could be gang-related, the station reported. Police also declined to say whether all of the body parts are believed to be from the same person or how that person might have died

'Homicide detectives are expected to return to a Long Island park Friday to search for more body parts, a day after two human arms and a leg were found within about a mile of each other in the area, not far from schools, authorities say.

The area was expected to be cordoned off throughout the day to assist in the investigation. Traffic may be affected.'
''Police didn't immediately provide any further information on the limbs found, hoping that testing the DNA and examining tattoos could help lead them to an identification.''

'Investigators say a total of five limbs have been recovered from Southards Park Pond so far, and they belong to at least two people. One of the arms, the leg and the head belong to a woman and appear to be the same victim. Two previously recovered arms belong to a man, though it's not clear if it is one or two individuals, police said.''

''According to Suffolk County police the human remains found at Southards Pond Park in Babylon belong to both a woman and a adult male, including a woman's arm, leg and head, and a man's two arms, which had tattoos.

The adult male's two arms were found on the eastern side of the park; the woman's head, arm and leg were found on the western side of the park, police said.''

Yikes! Hopefully they didn’t remove the teeth like they did the fingerprints, and I hope the tattoos can help to identify these poor folks :(

Why people go long, unimaginable lengths to dismember but then just scatter the remains is… just frankly so stupid.

''There were no tattoos on the female's arms, police said.

considering they removed fingertips, I'm surprised they didn't mutilate the tattoo beyond recognition
