It's hard to describe to someone without sounding contradictory what this area is like. Yes it's desolate. But it's also busy in the summer. And when the OBI was there, many people traveled Ocean Parkway just to get there.

So that's why I think the bodies found may not be from just one killer. Most LIers know what this area is like, not just the few who live/lived there.

I agree its busier in the summer...but that's the point..its still really dark and I don't think a car parked at the side is really something anyone looks twice at...if that's how the SK dumped the bodies...from the side of the road

Hubby walked into the computer room last night, stood behind my chair and gasped, "Why are you looking at strippers?!"

I told him I was planning our vacation. ;)
 
Maybe a driver, whoever that may have been at the time, was complying with moving to an after party location because he was paid well to do so. However, I don't think that SG wanted to do that, because for some reason she knew she could be killed. JMO.
 
We all know that SK do not usually kill 4 people then stop. Rifkin stated that he tried hard to stop and didn't kill for a year, but once he started again the body count picked up.

So I cannot imagine that a serial killer only kills during the summer months. This guy has to be killing, and since at least 4 bodies have been found, I would assume his thirst for the kill is increasing. Since his burial ground has been found, I would assume he probably is choosing another place.

So now my thinking is what if this guy lives out of state...it could be any state, Florida, Utah or anywhere but I guarantee there is more missing prostitutes and another burial place.

How do we go about searching other states for this MO? I think we have to expand looking out of state for this SK.

So funny! I had to explain to my sister why there might be escort websites on her search history today (I was using her laptop) because I didn't want her to think her husband was up to no good.
 
The name didn't ring a bell until now, that place was open for years going back to the 80's that I know of.

If I remember it was somewhere between Jones Beach Main and Robert Moses much closer to Jones.
 
I don't know whether this counts as rumor or what, but I thought you guys might find it interesting. I was talking about this case with a young single guy I know likes to go down to LI in the summer to meet girls. And he told me that some nights, if you're walking around outside the theater or some of the other hangout spots and bars, there are more hookers and drug dealers than there are customers.
 
I am thinking the guy told the old man that he shouldn't have called 911 because
Shannan was on drugs, had drugs, and was commiting prostitution and hence would be in alot of trouble if she talked to the police.

Absolutely. I was researching that a few days ago, and of course, it's taboo for a call girl to call 911.

However, the fear of dying by the hand of a serial killer probably trumped the fear of being arrested, being beat up by the pimp and/or losing bookings.

I do think that there is the outside possibility that SG drowned...the water does get deeper past brewer's house...again I think we should be looking at the other victims....where was the victim in manhattan last seen etc. I would be sure the LE would have already interviewed anyone who saw SG at the party and they have already said the other people involved that night were not POI. it seems we are going around and around with this particular night when the other victims might be the ones that really point to the killer and not SG necessarily.

If his name is attached to THIS case, then it can be used. If it is an arrest for something else, then please use his initials.

I find that very interesting. I wonder if they travel there for the summer months?
 
It was not right off of OP? Boats could dock at the Club? Maybe I'm thinking of a different club. I remember the name OBI though. I know Long Beach, Lido, Oceanside, Atlantic Beach.
