Oddly enough, people still sell stuff door to door, not just the ones that pretend to. I know a guy that sells pots and pans (Salad Master) door to door. Crazy, but legit.

I find the craigslist bit interesting. So this SK is going online and making some kind of offer to get the girls to travel to him? Did I get that right? The one with the bf that is in jail on drug trafficking brought this question up. Is the SK offering loads of money to travel to LI or AC? You can write, post or contact for any city listed on craigslist. Seems the girls computers, for the ones known, would have some info. He could be masking his computer though, or using disposable cellphones with computer access, paying cash.

The child, perhaps one of the girls traveled with her child to the meeting town and thought she could put the child in a hotel room...

Wonder which city the SK is in now. Are all remains found completely decomposed? If so, this is most likely not where the SK is now. The AC bodies were not too far decomposed if I read the articles correctly. Just wondering aloud here.

All bodies facing East? Where SK is headed? Or where the problems began?

It is so hard trying to get into the mind of serial killers. They don't think like most of us. That monster, Rodney Alcala would choke his victims to unconsiousness only to revive them and begin the torture all over again til he finally killed them.

I agree with one of the posters several pages back, SuziQ, IIRC, who stated that it sounds like this killer studied the handbook for serial killers!

Hello everyone, needed to make a couple comments on this case but between work and reading it's difficult to keep track in this case.

Two things...

News about the drifter just came out and I just wanted to say about drifters and homeless. I-95 is a known corridor for homeless and drug runners. The homeless tend to move south for the winters and during summers, not all but some drifter homeless move north again because of the weather. There are homeless encampments known to the homeless population that are up and down I-95 in different locations. Another thing I'm aware of is many homeless want for whatever reason to drop out of society, not be identifiable by address, everyday bills, just unable to to handle the pressures of everyday living.

Second, I'm confused about who said what to whom during Shannons (I believe 911 calls and calls to her driver the evening she disappeared.

I've read the john called Shannons driver to tell him he wasn't needed that Shannon wanted to stay. Is this true? Then when the driver went inside she was on a 911 call ect. If this is all true, I would think Shannon would call the driver to instruct him to leave, not the john. (Sorry can't remember names ATM) I'm asking in search of accurate information because I find it out of place for a john to call a call girls driver with instructions while near the same time the call girl is calling 911. (If it's true)
 
I was in Home Depot yesterday and they sell burlap, which was on a roller, cut to size.

Some articles say they were wrapped in burlap, so which is it, burlap bags or what. :banghead:

I feel that on NG last night they made it seem ike we were listening to the actual killer on the "*advertiser censored*" call to the little sister...

I don't think that was from the actual call....

do we know?
 
Officers in a low-flying Nassau police department helicopter scanned a 40-acre marshland near Jones Beach State Park Tuesday morning as investigators continued to look for clues in the case of a potential serial killer.

Observers searching from the air will pinpoint areas of interest via GPS, said Dep. Chief Frank Kirby of the Tactical Field Services Section. Officers on the ground will then search those sections of beach later in the week.

Bad weather predicted for Tuesday and Wednesday may keep investigators from searching the beach again until Thursday, said Kirby, who is supervising the Emergency Services Unit, K-9 unit and Bureau of Special Operations unit officers involved in the search.

(Glad the weather held out so LE could do some searching). Its getting real cloudy now and the temperature is dropping. Expect heavy rain this afternoon.

IDK! I do know that church groups still go door to door. Not a good idea where I live first the whole community is Catholic and second the last one got bit my dog. (yes I have caution dog bites sign)
 
Hi, my friend sold a few household items on craigslist he did say complaining that Why do nice polite people make appointments and than not show up,,If you were traveling a good distance wouldnt you want to make sure you werent going to a prank or set up,, believe that the girls met the SK prior ,,Libaries do ask for ID if you use a computer bt, firehouse, real estate businesses,insurance companies etc dont usually sometimes a basic passcode which is usually available to all, ///We got our dog on craigslist , we were a little scared we left all of our jewelry at home because it was a area we werent familiar with and they had cell phone numbers listed, anyway, it worked out but,, wouldnt you think a escort would need maybe Money up front or a address they could verify or someone they were familiar with so they would know they werent getting ripped off,, especially coming so far away ,,
Its so sad and getting sadder everyday,,
 
It seems the killer in AC wanted his victims to be found, where this Guy on LI went out of his way so they would not be found.

The john called Shannon's driver (after she had been there about 3 hrs) & told him to come get her ASAP cos she was acting crazy (he was parked down the road near the entrance) so the driver went to the house & said he found Shannon on the phone talking to 911..When she saw the driver she flew out the door screaming & knocking on neighbor's doors begging for "HELP" & saying "they're trying to kill me"..The driver supposedly continued to look for her/catch her as she was running around looking for a safe place to hide while waiting for LE..One neighbor actually spoke to him & he said she had been at a "party" & got upset then he took off..All that saw her described her as "delirious" & "out of it"..The next day supposedly the driver & her b/f came back to continue to search for her with no luck.

As far as I know, it is only speculation that the SK contacted the victims and was their customer.

i don't think it was his voice and I think they should clarify...i wonder if they are trying to piss this guy off...get a response...otherwise I can't explain how the show could be so irresponsible as to roll it out as an actual recording...capeesh?

I've thought about a trucker too. My son owns a seafood biz and has a refrigerated truck. He hauls seafood from NC to Gulf coast states. He is a college graduate and good looking guy.(proud mama here) I asked him and he told me that the clams and oysters are sold wholesale in burlap sacks.

I thought it was interesting and certainly a possibility considering the areas the victims have been found that someone in the seafood industry who hauls fish could be involved.

This would fit. A refrigerated truck full of fish smell to preserve the bodies until he dumps them. He probably would pick up the girls and store the bodies AFTER he completed his deliveries and had time for fun during his travels in the interim. Yuck just thinking about it makes me queasy!

Now I am going back to find the pic of that truck that was captured on a map parked on Ocean pky!! It is an odd looking truck. could it be a refrigerated truck? I know the first truck my son bought for his biz was actually a refrigerated chicken truck....a 'short truck'. I know when I saw that pic my first impression was that it looke like an ice cream truck!
