The detective is saying Mount Vernon Jane Doe's DNA sample is tainted. I have been so very busy; have not had time to reply to him again after I sent him the article about Paulette Jaster MI being ID'd with her freckles. Will try to put it on my "urgent" list after I do banking & bills this afternoon. My daughter taking college classes 4 days a week has cut into my advocating time.

Thank you Roselvr for reference to Paulette Jaster case and her being identified by freckles. I have read about the case previously, it is quite interesting and I am glad that LE's are open to non standard ways of identifying victims too.

Cathleen's doe network page mentions her having coffee colored mark on right arm, perhaps any of her family can remember if she had prominent birth mark on right front side of neck as Mount Vernon JD? Perhaps George or other involved LE's know the answer?

Dr D that matched the freckles is a specialist (driving forget her title). I shared Cathleen & a few more pics of Mount Vernon Jane with Carl; he does not see matching freckles & doesn't feel they match. Grandson needs me

A while back I got in contact with a self-taught forensic artist that runs an online blog. She did a recon of this Jane Doe, trying to keep her looking at the younger side of her age range. She's also done renderings of John Volusia County Doe 1972, Lady of the Dunes, Little Miss Lake Panasoffkee, Vernon County Jane Doe and various other Does.

Carl, may I ask where you were able to obtain the new PM photos from? As I've mentioned, I grew up in Mt. Vernon and lived there for 25 of my 30 years, and the police there are generally unhelpful. They would not even entertain the murder of a family friend and wrote it off as an overdose (as one cannot overdose if their hands are bound). I still live in the area but not in the city itself and would love to know if there is someone at MVPD who is willing to discuss this case including posting flyers in the community.

JMO, but I don't see a resemblance. But more than that, Tammy is strongly believed to have been murdered at the time of her appearance. It sounds like LE has a pretty good idea of what happened to her but have not been able to arrest anyone or find her body:

I see a resemblance (the shape & color of the eyes, and the tip of the nose stood out to me) but the time gap is long. And as FiveFelines said, it sounds like they do know what happened to Tammy.

I think LE knows a lot more then they let on. They won't let her sister look at the file. Something is very wrong with her case and I hope they're able to figure it out soon.

I think Wendy looks very much like our UID, but the mole/birthmark not being in the same spot doesn't seal it for me ... it's a very sad case, hopefully she can be given her name back soon!

Aha, now I see it, thank you Roselvr. But like you said, it's smaller and in a different place than MVJD's. They do have a facial resemblance, though. And Wendy was pregnant when she disappeared, which brings me to a new question - does anyone know if MVJD had ever been pregnant or given birth?
