Qua'mere Rogers

Endangered Missing -- Missing Since: December 1, 2008

Missing From: Syracuse, New York

Height: 2'5" -- Weight: 30 lbs -- Hair Color: Black -- Eye Color: Brown

Qua'mere's nickname is Quatti.

The Syracuse Police Department is asking for the public's help in tracking down a missing child. Police say that they are unsure if four-year-old Qua'mere Rogers is even alive. The last person to see Qua'mere was his father, Damion Davis. Davis has told police that he handed Qua'mer over to someone he had just met in Brooklyn.

Davis has now been arrested and charged with abandoning a child. The 39-year-old told police he was having trouble taking care of the child, and that he left Qua'mere with a man from a group called "The United Nation of Moors". Davis thinks the group may have taken Qua'mere to Georgia.

Investigators have opened a missing persons investigation, and are now working with the FBI in Georgia. They are still trying to figure out whether Damion Davis, who has several aliases, is telling the truth about this son.

Man under investigation in missing child case sentenced for domestic violence assault

A Syracuse man under investigation in the disappearance of his young son was sentenced today to 1 1/3 to four years in state prison in an unrelated domestic violence case.

Cali has said the whereabouts of the child - known as Qua'mere Rogers - remain unknown and authorities have not ruled out the possibility the child was the victim of a homicide.

Rape trial in missing child case to go forward without defendant after another courtroom disruption

Offered a misdemeanor deal in a statutory rape case, Damion Davis today began screaming and ranting wildly in court late this morning.

But unlike the last time when the judge postponed the trial to have Davis undergo a psychiatric examination after a courtroom disruption, the judge ordered Davis removed from court and ordered the trial to go forward without him.

[snip]

Authorities initially thought Davis was the father of the baby boy the teenage girl gave birth to in 2005. But DNA testing done last year showed that Davis was not the father.

The boy, Qua'mere Rogers, has been missing for several years. Although Davis reportedly told police he gave the child away to a man in New York City, authorities suspect the child may have been murdered.

I pulled some facts from MSM about this situation that i just wanted to post so that people won't have to go hunt for them. From here on out, i'll refer to people once by full name and then by initials there after...i don't don't if that's protocol but it's easier.

-Qua'mere Rogers was last known to be with Damion Davis before he went missing, contrary to initial belief, Davis is not QR's father.

-DD began a relationship with QR's mother in 2004, DD had lied to her about her age and told her he was 18 when he was really around 40. DD has been charged with raping QR's mother.

-QR's mother who is unidentified because of her age, gave QR to DD in 2007 when DD knocked her front teeth out. She left and never went back because of her fear of DD.

-An anonymous tipster notified Syracuse Police that he was missing in the summer of 2009 and that he was last seen in November of 2008. Even though this means he would be roughly 3 years old at the time of his disappearance, DD claims he gave QR to man in Brooklyn when he was between 8-12 months old. He said he had never met this man before and he believed his name was Yusef Ben Ali, he was a member of the United Nation of Moors and he was taking QR to Georgia where he would take care of QR until DD got back on his feet.

-QR's grandmother, Annie Williams believes that DD's mother lives in Brooklyn and QR is living with her. Syracuse Police have no evidence of this.

-DD goes by many aliases: Yakeef Davis, Rakeef Davis, Zayquan Ross and Zayquan Rose

-In November and December of 2008, Edward Phillips who had sometimes cared for QR began asking lots of question as to his whereabouts because he had not been seen in a while. On December 4th, Mustafa Burrell lured EP to an alley where he stabbed him in the neck. Onondaga County ADA believes this was because EP had asked so many questions.

Right now Syracuse police believe QR was the victim of homicide and treating it as such. Things are difficult though because DD is not cooperating.

According to this, the United Nations of Moors had quite a compound in Eatonton, Georgia...seems like things came to a halt though in 2004 when the founder, Dwight York was sentenced to 135 years in federal prison and the compound was later sold under government forfeiture and demolished in 2005.
