There is always a ton of traffic on the Northway Fridays in the summer, The Adirondacks, Lake George, Saratoga Springs are all big tourist draws. They would have a tough time avoiding the police, and Route 9 is pretty busy too.

Read something yesterday but can't find it now...someone said prison escape not affecting tourism

You can post a message, or at least find Dave A (it's actually 4 letters, the last one is a B, and I always mix up the middle two :blushing: ), he's the Admin in charge of these issues, and send a PM perhaps?

When I had the issue, I posted a screenshot, and let him know what device, operating system, etc. in my post. More details help him trace the problem. However, the videos are a long running issue, so you may not need to tell him that much.

Anyhow, I'm subscribed to the thread and receive alerts when others are dealing with it, and it's still happening.

Clinton County District Attorney Andrew Wylie told CNN that Joyce Mitchell "provided some form of equipment or tools" to fugitive felons Richard Matt and David Sweat. There is information that she did provide contraband to them. He will be able to give more details as to the exact contraband she provided to them soon. She continues to come in and cooperate and every day we are learning more as to her involvement with this. (Hence the reason she hasn't been arrested yet.) The charges she is facing include conspiracy to escape and providing contraband. She's aware that these charges will and can be filed against her and she continues to cooperate. (So she knows she's toast)

I do not understand why she has not been arrested. If she was mentally unstable enough to provide contraband to the escapees, she's mentally unstable enough to go on the run herself. This woman needs to be in a jail cell & having her mental health evaluated & treated.

CNN just reported wrappers found were consistent with what could be purchased at the prison. So IMO it wont take long finding these guys. I just pray it ends well for LE and those in the area. Them..... well whatever happens to them happens. Unless they have resources how long can they survive?

CNN anchor talked via telephone to someone who lives in the area where the search has intensified after reports of two men jumping a fence. Man on phone said neighbors/community are "disgusted" that Mitchell would put thousands of folks in danger by helping these hardened criminals escape :stormingmad:

I'm not going to assume that JM is telling the truth. She's talking with LE, but there's no guarantee she's providing truthful information. If she was sneaky and deceitful about helping the perps escape, she's probably just as sneaky and deceitful in providing information to authorities. I'm sure those questioning her are having to sift through what she shares and separate the wheat from the chaff. :moo:

The two men seen jumping a stone wall were about an about an eighth of a mile from Route 3 headed toward Route 3 from Buck's Corners Road. That would mean they may still be moving around in the contained area it think. Maybe they really do have them cornered...just a really big corner.

btw...the exact address is actually avail. online, based on the name of the road and people interviewed in the article (they're not unlisted), but i'm new and i dont know if thats ok to post.

Also, i'm just glancing during a break but the article is stamped 6:34 am, yet says the wall jumping took place at 7:30 am. so I dont know what time they were spotted.

It sounds like maybe others saw them too. Hopefully that means they're getting sloppy.

Good point. I'm sure they'll be comparing everything she tells them against the evidence they already have and are gathering from other informants.
