i wish this case drew as much interest as, say…the Murdaugh case. Because as I write this, there are children in abusive homes with no hope of relief. Why?
Because the behavior of some of the people entrusted and PAID to protect these children…is outrageously neglectful…yet, are they punished? Have they lost their jobs? In this case concerned and caring teachers were reporting horrific situations…there was video…and yet, these PAID employees let this child die.
This is not a one-off or there would have been IMMEDIATE consequences. WANTON NEGLECT of a child…criminal charges might have been considered. But they have been protected.
I can only pray a massive monetary judgement against those involved in this case…will create a culture of fear FOR THEMSELVES where a culture of apathy for the children exists today. Maybe we can save a few children if the DFS and the judges have concern for some personal risk to themselves.
