Apparently, it is believed that the children might still have some relatives in NZ. It is stated that the children were born in 2009 and 2012 respectively. That would make them approximately 9 and 6 years old, if they died four years ago :(

Thought I would have a look and see if South Korean MSM are reporting on this matter. They are. At least several of their major news agencies (all of the ones I looked at) are reporting on it.

In most areas of the US, there are flea markets & antique malls -- selling all sorts of things that aren't nice enough to be Antiques for the most part.

Some people make a business of buying the contents of storage lockers and selling those items through such a place. Things like end tables, lamps, bulky kids' toys, holiday decorations, mirrors, dishes, yard tools.

I know people who successfully supplement their retirement income this way, but they also have storage space for the items so that they can rotate stock in their flea market booths. They are also handy, and will clean & fix items.

Nothing comes into their home until they are certain there are no pests!

imho the New Zealand relatives didn't know. They only knew that Mom had the children, and Mom returned to Korea.

The New Zealand family may have sent birthday or holiday cards, attempted phone calls, or mostly mourned the death of their own family member.

They may be planning proper internment now.

As a family matter, we may not learn much more.

If the returned-to-Korea Mom is charged with crimes, we may learn more.

But -- I live in the US -- how is privacy handled in New Zealand in a criminal case? I know that policies & practices are different in the UK than in the US.

Yes, it’s quite popular to attend the self storage unit auctions around here. I’ve been to a few. The ones that I have seen and/or purchased contain mostly furniture with the odd box of linens, framed pictures, lamps. Rarely see clothes or suitcases.

New Zealand and South Korean police are now searching for the mother of the children after discovering the father of the duo died from cancer in 2017.

She is currently listed as missing, but it's thought she flew to the Asian country back in 2018 when they children died.

Detectives have now revealed that up to a year before she flew to South Korea, her husband, the children's father, died from cancer.
