To me these "caylees" are nothing more than the A's scapegoats for KC. Whether it be for reasonable doubt, the DP, & the verdict.

It's bothering me today a LOT that whatever their agenda or reason is, they are putting it BEFORE the safety and well-being of these little girls that they're exploiting. And let's not make any mistake - this is clear exploitation of these little girls, out innocently playing, shopping, whatever, with their families.

ITA...if the Anthonys had already given the photo to the authorities and their own PI, they had no reason to put that picture out publicly. Unless they could 100% guarantee that the little girl in this pic was their granddaughter there was no excuse for it. I have to applaud OCSO. Enough is enough.

I have to agree with half your statement. I also see no reason for them to put that photo out there for all to see. IF, by some miracle, that child were Caylee, why do we need to see that photo? Her looks would not appear to have been altered, so why show it? I still cannot applaud anyone for mishandling this case, but I do think that the A's were doing what they have always done, which is to confuse the issue as far as they can. If OCSO wants to impress me, they need to just stop pussy-footing and arrest the Anthony's already. It's not like they have no reason.

Others have suggested that MB actually is looking the reporter in the eye--it's just about where the reporter was standing. Could that be the case? Not that it matters to her overall terrible performance, but it would do away with the no-eye-contact portion of it.

Only if the reporter was sitting on the floor...LOL...She does look to the right once in awhile like she is looking at someone, but rarely. When someone talks to me and looks at the floor most of the time I always think they are lying.

I have recently come to that belief myself. Not sure until now if they public would have gone along with it... but the A's have jumped the shark and OSCO waited patiently, worked patiently with them until it has become obvious to anyone interested in this case that they've crossed the line. I truly believe that the public needs this action. Needs this closure, of sorts.

OSCO has been slammed daily, repeatedly, by this family - for no good reason -- and they need to stand up publicly and show some self-respect. We want that for our law enforcement agencies too. It's not enough anymore to speak to the A's behind closed doors. It's got to be out in the open. Go OSCO!

I had a real problem with Florida's Sunshine Law..... I think the public's right to know is not a good enough excuse to force LE to release documents that are private & sensitive..... BEFORE a person has their day in court.

That said.... I believe LE has probably worked very closly with the FBI and psychiatrics/psychologists & all sorts of profilers in order to figure out the best way to deal w/ Casey. They seem to have gambled that releasing the jailhouse interviews would help them solve this case but it has had the exact opposite effect.....

instead of allowing the Anthonys to privately digest the truth & accept the reality... it pushed them into a corner & it has allowed/forced them to take the offensive & rally around Casey.

Trouble is.... LE never imagined the reactions they would get from Cindy, then George & finally Lee. And the damage was done & they are now forced to deal with the effects of this original decision.

I think LE has always been caught between being totally fed up with the Anthonys & feeling a lot of sympathy for them & they sure don't want to do ANYTHING that will weaken their case against Casey.

I doubt they'd arrest them but I do think they might try to contact some of the innocent families & ask them to have their own lawyers to send strongly worded letters to the Anthonys.

It's a shame that the Anthonys can't even see that this little girl isn't Caylee! I can see it! You can see it! Everyone else can see it too!

About MB: Doesn't a spokesperson usually try to convey a certain image? Like ally to the grieving parents, or out going and funloving or kind and caring? Don't spokespeople usually speak? This woman did a whole lot of sidestepping questions, referring to other people and looking in odd directions. She was ungroomed and not very well spoken. I don't get it. But FWIW, here's my theory.
Look at Cindy, confrontational yet shows a lot of avoidance when it comed to tough questions or statements, makes claims of Caylee being alive in the face of some very strong evidence to the contrary, has a hard time with eye contact. And we all know that those are signs that she is not being truthful. So here comes this spokesperson that acts the same way. There are a lot of people out there that will believe a spokesperson and think that they are being honest. I think that MB is just a way for KFN and the Anthony's to try to undermine the public's belief that Cindy and George are being untruthful. JMO.

I understand what you're saying about backing them into a corner but I'm not sure the A's would have done anything different if the tapes weren't released. They wouldn't have as much to fight against, but I still believe they would be criticising LE all over the place for not issuing an Amber Alert (snort), not looking for a live Caylee, persecuting their daughter since DAY 1, etc, etc. So the A's would still be on the offensive, and OFFENSIVE almost as much as they are.

If that means other families are harmed by having their little girls pics plastered all over the media, so be it. The "Save KC" train is full speed ahead.

I don't know if she was ever a WSer but she did make some nasty accusations about WS. There was a thread about a blog that she wrote in and some of this came up on the thread.

This has got to be one for the record books in terms of how convoluted it is. I don't envy LE or the prosecutors. I can't even imagine what they have to sift through to prepare for trial. Their organizational skills are definitely being put to the test.
