IN - Bone Fragments Found in Wheatfield Backyard Fire Pit After Police Get Report of 2 Children Having Been Killed 1 October 2024

@angelaganote :

I just spoke to the Jasper County sheriff who confirms two people have been arrested in connection with a case we told you about earlier this week involving possible bone fragments found of children. Steven Valle and Samantha Sebella are being held on suspicion of murder. The prosecutor is making a charging decision as we speak. It could come today or possibly Monday. As soon as we get a news release or more specifics, I’ll post.

Does it look like to you all that she has bruising around her neck like she's been choked?

From the article: "After obtaining new evidence, police contacted the parents again and they continued to deny having any knowledge of the incident, per the statement."

If two of their children disappeared and they never contacted the authorities or anyone else to help look for them, they either knew and had something to do with it, or neglected their kids beyond belief.

my understanding is both children were killed during infancy. Probably not long after birth. JMO no link.

Also it appears both parents are physically violent with one another. So I imaging their still living child saw plenty in his short live thus far. Thankfully he won't have to live in that mess anymore.

As their investigation continued, police learned that Valle and Sebella had been known to batter each other.

so both presumed dead children were possibly home births without any medical care or doctor visits or anything that could put them on the radar?
Apparently, yes.

As a side note, the "nos" would also extend to no licensed mid wife. Some of my relatives are 'big family religious" and use Mennonite mid wives.

One told me that the midwives cannot leave the site of a birth with out completing a preliminary birth certificate. For this, the infant must be named.

The requirement led to one midwife staying and chomping down on a celebratory dinner while the parents finalized the name of the child. She then completed the preliminary birth certificate and drove back home.

So these children could have been killed in infancy- and do we know that the woman arrested was the mother?
I mean these were allegedly home births with zero prenatal care so we don't "know" she is their mother but I am betting LE do because DNA from remains should reveal their parentage.

Ok thanks- I was thinking about no one noticing that she was pregnant for two pregnancies and or if the father had fathered children with someone else and he then needed to make those babies disappear… moo

Interesting. If they died at home, couldn't the parents say they were born dead? With the bodies so disintegrated, how could LEO determine otherwise?

If the baby is born dead, it really isn't even a live birth that would need to be registered.

I think part of the issue is that the mother claims the father killed them while the father claims he arrived to find each infant dead after their deliveries and simply disposed of the bodies by throwing them into a burn pile :(

Didn’t the tipster say that the father had said he’d killed them? :(

I don’t understand why people talk about the crimes- and I really don’t understand why anyone would leave human remains in a burn pile- or think that they are going to completely disappear
