'Our family is not complete': Urgent search underway for missing Brooklyn Heights father of 3

A police report shows Jones was last seen on surveillance video at Georgio's Oven Fresh Pizza near Garfield Heights, where he has worked for almost a decade as a delivery driver. Officials say he dropped off a pizza at his home at about 10 p.m. on Aug. 20.

He was then spotted on surveillance video at 11:30 p.m. at the pizza shop, with his son calling him minutes later. Jones has not been heard from again following that phone call.

"These kids, these kids are his life," Ayers told 3News. "There's no way he'd go this long, even a day, without his kids knowing where he's at."

Jones’ 2011 Chevy Impala (HGF2869) was detected on a flock camera at 11:45 a.m. on August 21 at Broadway near McCracken, heading westbound.

The police report also notes Jones’ vehicle was seen on a nearby Ring doorbell camera after a missing person’s report was filed. His Impala was reportedly seen parked outside of his home for 51 seconds before pulling off.

However, Jones’ family told News 5 they were alerted on Tuesday that it wasn’t actually him.

There's always a chance this is someone with his exact same description, address, name, and age (since I don't have a mugshot) but I'm reasonably sure this is him. The receiving stolen property worries me - that could put him in contact with a criminal element that's not good news.

So…..who was it? Who took his car and why the car went to check his house? Did he manage to escape and were looking for him ?

Noting:
  • Per LE, Bub was last seen delivering pizza to his own children on Tues, Aug 20.
  • After he left his house that evening, his son called him around 11:30 p.m.
  • They had a quick conversation and that was the last time anyone has spoken to him.
  • “He shares everything with his 16-year-old. He shares everything. His location, where he is at, who he is with, what he is going to do. That is what he does,” says Ayers. (Bub's mother)
  • Ayers says she started to get worried when he didn’t show up to a cookout at her house the next day.
  • The family was there to celebrate Bub’s Daughter’s eighteenth birthday and her move to college.
  • “He would not miss these events.” says Ayers.

I hope his family is safe IF it is the perpetrator that went to his home with the victim s car.
Question: in the US, do you keep the car papers in the car and do they have the home address in them? So that anybody stealing the car could learn the address of the owner.
Or the person having taken the car must have known where he lives to be there in his car ?

In my experience people keep a copy of the registration in the glove box, if you get pulled over by the police they ask for your license and registration. This would have your address on it.

According to a post above, he was always in contact with his son as far as sharing his location. But then I have not read anything about the phone being turned off, so wouldn’t the family know where he is?

so at first I bought that "flock camera" was a typo, but looked it up, it's basically an ALPR (license plate reader) on steroids, as it stores the info in a database. According to the Marshall Project, Cleveland has over 100 such cameras installed. Cleveland Promised Oversight of Police Cameras. But the Work Remains Undone

so, if this is all accurate, surely they have more data/hits to go off of than just the one of Broadway and McCracken going westbound?'

Broadway is a huge intersection (it's signed as Ohio Route 14). To get from Broadway and McCracken to the location listed as Bub's address in court docs, Google Map plots a route on Interstate 480, also a road that I would assume has a lot of surveillance in general.

He was most likely car jacked. Phone and wallet. Address in drivers license. Cadaver dogs should be used in areas around his work. Or areas around the last delivery he made that night.
