In June 2021, Jackson pleaded guilty to child endangerment charges after her 11-month-old daughter fell down an apartment staircase, according to court records.

Police said Jackson did not respond to EMS personnel seeking entry to the building, compelling Columbus firefighters to force their way in. Jackson did not respond to police or firefighters until they contacted her in her bedroom, court records indicate.

Jackson was sentenced to serve 13 days in prison on the child endangerment charge and two years of probation.

She remained on probation when she abducted the Thomas twins on Monday evening.

Can the heading be changed of this post.. it’s so confusing it makes it look like the kids are both recovered? I was so happy when I saw it then my stomach sank. People may be Less interested in clicking on the thread thinking it is resolved when it is not and we need all eyes possible.. im in Columbus and just sick over this especially the two sightings in the many hours before the amber alert went out.

I-70 goes across a little north of Dayton, but south of Vandalia. I think to get to the airport in Vandalia, you'd have to get off at some point on I-40, and you'd have to get off on I-75 to get into the city of Dayton proper and also Riverside (where they think she has family).

No, the airport has its own exit from I-70. It is very easy to get off and back on to I-70 at the airport. Route 40 is not an interstate route. Much of it is a two-lane road. She could have taken it to get from Columbus to Dayton; however, it would have taken longer to drive and isn't as well lit.

About 5 minutes in during the PC, they said suspect had asked individuals to use their phone. Maybe she doesn't have a cell phone with her.

I was driving on the I-270 freeway in the Columbus area today. I saw the amber alert on the overhead traffic alert sign. It only said amber alert, black Honda Accord, and front end damage. It did not provide any license plate number information of the vehicle that they were looking for.

Another concern here is that within the next 24 to 36 hours a dangerous winter storm with whiteout conditions and bitterly cold windchills is expected to go through Ohio.

I do hope that the missing baby is soon found safe and unharmed before this winter storm arrives in the Ohio Valley region.
 
There is a reason only one baby was left to be found in the parking lot. I don't think I am prepared to know what that reason is. This is truly sad and terrifying. Can't even imagine what the family is going through. Praying for a miracle. Jmoo
 
I hope that LE will continue to make a plea to the suspect to leave the baby at a fire department, police station, Walmart, or other venue with no questions asked. Give her some ideas. Over and over again. Appeal to her to do this. Also it might appeal to anyone who knows her, family, friends, neighbors if she has found a place to stay. Anything that could help to save baby Kason.
 
It seems like Nalah Jackson's prior addresses and known homeless encampments are all in Columbus –– why did she go to Dayton? Did she actually meet a friend at the airport? Why did she choose to travel to the Dayton area? Does she have family or friends there? I really hope she listens to police and drops off little Kason at a safe location before something happens to him (either intentionally or unintentionally).

I'm in the "Dayton area." I have only received the first AMBER ALERT. I had dinner with a friend who hadn't even heard of the missing twins. Why isn't this all over the news?
