He was sentenced to nine months in prison and was classified a Tier I sex offender, meaning he will have to register annually with the sheriff in the county where he lives for 15 years once released from prison. He was given credit for 136 days he has served in the Butler County Jail awaiting trial.

Last month, Middletown police also expressed frustration in the investigation of the disappearance of Lindsay Bogan, a 30-year-old mother, in September 2015. After six months, her case is now being investigated as a homicide.

Bogan was reported missing by her boyfriend, Eric Sexton, who went to prison earlier this year after pleading guilty to promoting prostitution involving Bogan. At his sentencing, Sexton’s attorney said he does not know Bogan’s whereabouts.

Police have received plenty of tips and even dug for Bogan’s body last month in a Middletown field, but found nothing.

Los, thanks for updating this. I was sure Lindsay was killed by the . I hope these remains are her so that the family knows where she is. I was so sad for Lindsay. I am hopeful that Sexton can be successfully prosecuted for her murder.
 
Any chance this missing lady can be connected to the missing Chillicothe area ladies?
 
Does anyone know whether this Sexton character had a vehicle or access to one? Anyone know if HE was missing for a day sometime before HE reported her missing? Or sometime shortly thereafter?

Good questions...I see where you're going with this. I don't know for sure, but I am guessing that he himself didn't have a vehicle. On the day Lindsay disappeared, they were supposedly walking while trying to find a ride to his brother's house. And, in the search warrant, LE seized clothes and electronic devices, but no mention of a vehicle. That doesn't mean he didn't have access to one though! In regards to your second question about him being missing, I don't ever remember hearing anything about a chunk of time he isn't able to account for. Doesn't mean there isn't though and LE knows but hasn't released the info yet.

Reading back over that, I realize that we really don't know all that much. I just keep coming up with more questions and not really providing any definitive answers. Sorry!

Thank you for your help. Where I was going with this is I am wondering whether some messed up dude from Middletown, Ohio would drive his girlfriends body 7 hours straight across I76 to dump her in Middletown, PA. In the case I'm thinking of the timing on finding of a UID and possible time from death may be close but there are two different height and weight descriptions on Lindsay, so I'm not sure how close of a match it really might be. I think it's a stretch. Here's the UID link:

Human bones were found in a field in Madison Township, the Butler County coroner reported.

The bones were found Monday, the coroner said, when a farmer bailing hay made the unusual discovery.

Authorities have not identified the remains, nor have they determined details about the remains, such as race, height and gender.
