After tracking her cell phone, Lakewood Police said they believe at the end of August, Madison was at a hotel in Warrensville Heights and in the areas of South Miles Road, Lee Road, and Harvard Road.

Since then, her phone has either been turned off or ran out of battery.

In previous interviews, Maddie's mother states that she was alerted by the friend on the east side that Madison went to see, who said she "didn't know where Madison was" and that she may have "gone to the store or something." I wonder (but have no knowledge) if this friend was interviewed by LE.
This case is most concerning.

Do we have any information about this 'friend on the east side'? It would seem logical that LE would interview that person at some point. Did Madison travel specifically to meet this person? If so, how did Madison travel? From what I've read Madison doesn't appear have the means to travel that far without some type of transportation.

It’s been more than 40 days since 17-year-old Madison Rich went missing. Her family believes she is alive.

On Saturday, they held a Support Vigil on the Solstice Steps at Lakewood Park to keep Madison's name in the news. They hope it will jog someone's memory who may have seen Maddie recently and didn't know it or may know where she is.

That area of the east side is pretty rough and a hot spot for trafficking. The Express Inn has constant issues with police there constantly. It's a 25 minute drive from Lakewood to Warrensville Hts on a good day, cutting across Cleveland, so definitely not a trip you would make walking.

Unfortunately I think trafficking is the most likely concern right now.

On Saturday, her family and the Cleveland Missing held a vigil at Lakewood Park for Maddie in hopes of getting her information in the hands of more people.

“Maddie loves the solstice steps,” said mother Tracey Rich. “She’ll go there just to take pictures of the water, she’ll take pictures of the sunsets”.

During the vigil, flyers were handed out with green ribbons to spread them around the city.

Interesting comment from her mother concerning Madison's mental health issue:

"We've been in the process of trying to get her the help that she needs, but we think that maybe it turned into that, leading into her being in a situation where she just can't get out of right now. Rich said it's not like her daughter to stop communicating with everyone. "It is not like Maddie to not talk to her friends or social media or anything like that.”

Seems like someone took her phone.

I am hopeful for a "found safe" on this case and hope that happens soon.

Dang it. I grew up near this area and where she was last seen is sketchy. I am hoping this girl is found safe, but the way she just dropped out of sight isn't a good sign.
