are the families still suing in civil court?
Pretty sure that civil case is ongoing. Actually, I think there's more than 1 case. Pretty sure Manleys are separate. I tried to check the other day, but have had difficulty accessing the Pike County Common Pleas Court web site.

Knowing he was capable of standing up to his family when he disagreed points to him being in agreement about the murders. I don't see how you can look at it any other way. JMO
Again Betty P you are . He stood up to her, yet here he is with his bloody footprint. Good hunter, check. Strong and able to drag dead animals, check, argues w mom but does what he’s told, double check. Experienced shooter, of course he is.

Dad doesn't care for boys... boys don't care for dad.

Mom deflects dad keeping both him and boys right there under her wing.
This! I can see this. She did this with the girls that her boys brought home also. She seems to create turmoil where there might not be any. Seems to want the boys out in texts to Billy, but yet she wants her grandkids and if boys leave then I'd think they would take their kids with them? Billy says the boys are no good, but they were working and the house Angela lived in was in their names. Billy meanwhile seems to be up to no good in his own dealings... what legit work was he doing? He was having his brother in law get him pills and paying him. He has all his own shady business going on and what does he expect his boys to do? Look how they were raised. It's all just chaos and then Angela can be in the center of it. When this is all you've known you tend to stick to it. So I think even when the boys didn't like things, they went along with it because it's what they knew. Angela alienated and made them alienate anyone that got close to them. The outsider was always the problem and they had to protect the kids.

Parker was only nice today, because he felt the defense could get in a few points from CN's testimony. ie. how different Jake and George were.

Once the next prosecution witness takes the stand, you'll see him return to his usual nasty style.

IMO, Parker has learned nothing..

Parker's tone is actually an interesting barometer of how potentially damaging each prosecution witness is.

As always, JMO, MOO and etc.
I was trying to find something nice to say :D I do think it's intentional on his part, but I hoped maybe he saw how badly it went over when he tried to make Tabatha look bad.

Bravo! Great analysis.

Chris gave us the "big picture" of how this family operated through the years. Billy was always the same, their lifestyle the same. It was really clear to me when he talked of the multiple insurance arson scams. He said the earliest were the hayfield fires to collect on destroyed crops and those happened when he was a little kid. This was their way of life.

Having tight knit families and economic systems that involved many ways of making money is typical of families in that area. But its clear from Chri's testimony that the Wagners were different.

I've been wavering slightly for a couple of days, Ive heard how George and Jake were different from each other, I've heard how good and kind George is. It's not his style to take someone down he couldn't do it. I've not really heard anything that points to George taking part. Did he stay with the children and mother dearest was the one wearing those old man trainers.

Then I keep seeing BettyP posting and she reminds me of all that George did in planning, buying, making, etc etc. I know deep down George is guilty but it hasn't been easy the last couple of days.

Imo, if Jake testifies is in regards to him deciding not to. And he could decide not to. It doesn't take much to get hooked into a conspiracy charge. You don't have to be present at the crime. Angie wasn't and she pled guilty on that fact. And yet she got 30 years. Again, the trial is not done. More revelations to come.imo.
After hearing Angie's interview this morning I am 100% guaranteed she was there at all the murder scenes. She hated Dana. That "well I wanted to be called Nana by SW but Dana was there first so SW had to call me Anga." Every step of that interview she just poured vitriol out on Dana. I don't care what her and Jake says Angie put those five bullets into Dana's head. Not one doubt in my mind after that MT interview.

Angie sounded like she thought she was so much better than the R's. She looked down on the R's like they were less than dirt under her feet. Then we find out that on Bethal Hill that Angie had a basement full of MJ plants she was growing and went to FL to get pills to bring back and sell with Billy. No way she was not present at the crime scenes.

I have no doubt that if Angie would have gotten away with these murders George and Jake were next on the list. They would have had some bad wreck and Angie would have collected on the life insurance and got both kids so she could insure their lives in case she needed money later. I absolutely think George is lucky he made it back alive from AK and probably Jake also.

I got cold chills when Kris testified to that accident him and Jake were in after the murders when they lived in Webster. Jake was driving George's truck and wrecked it almost killing Kris. The whole time he was telling that I was thinking "Angie meant for that to be George, not Jake and Kris."

She is a sick woman and P&N are absolutely correct when they said AC made a deal with the devil. 2 Devils. because I think Jake is just like Angie.

I thought Kris N was very believable. He testified honestly and straight forward and answered all questions as best he could. I am not sure whether he helped or hurt the prosecution. I think he maybe did a little of both. He helped AC prove her enmeshed family but that was AFTER they moved back from AK. He testified he hadn't seen them very much when they lived at Peterson RD so didn't know much on dynamics of the family then.

He helped George by saying that when Jake got into trouble Angie would make up a lie and tell, I guess Billy, that George did it so Goerge got the blame and punishment. Follows along with what Sam said. But I need to think over his answer of "That would be close." I need to listen again and think about what he meant by that.

So during today's trial....in the part where Angela Wagner is being interviewed at the canadian border she mentions something very briefly that caught my attention. Then later, after the recording is done but the BCI agent is still on the witness stand the agent mentions that one thing again. Again very briefly. So, this might not seem like something important to some people but, before the Wagners were arrested, I started to believe the Killers were on this bulletin board called "TOPIX". There was always someone on that bulletin board trying to steer everyone away from it being a custody issue. I believe today's evidence/testimony confirms this. This is when I started to believe it was the custody issue between Jake and Hanna that was the motive for the murders(not the grow operation). But I realized that more than one person had to have helped Jake. Notice when the bulletin board was taken down in relation to the Wagner's arrest.

A reminder that George has more to worry about than just the murder charges themselves including the shoes. He is still charged with these other COUNTS. His attorney said in a hearing these other COUNTS may be disputed later, whatever that means.

It looks to me now that these other COUNTS will be addressed at trial:

COUNT 9, CONSPIRACY - pre-planning of all of the crimes

COUNT 10, AGGRAVATED BURGLARY SPECIFICATION 1,2,3

COUNT 11, AGGRAVATED BURGLARY SPECIFICATION 1,2,3

COUNT 12, AGGRAVATED BURGLARY SPECIFICATION 1,2,3

COUNT 13, AGGRAVATED BURGLARY SPECIFICATION 1,2,3

COUNT 14, UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS ORDNANCE - Suppressor

COUNT 15, TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE - Items belonging to the victims,
Phones, Cameras

COUNT 16, TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE - Custody Documents

COUNT 17, TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE - Silencer, Shell Casings, Parts of Home Security System

COUNT 18, FORGERY - Custody documents

COUNT 19, UNAUTHORIZED USE OF PROPERTY - Cable and Computer Systems, Telecommunications Service, Social Media Accounts

COUNT 20, INTERCEPTION OF WIRE, ORAL, OR ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS - Facebook hacking

COUNT 21, OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE - getting rid of evidence and tampering with the crime scenes and lying to investigators

COUNT 22, ENGAGING IN A PATTERN OF CORRUPT ACTIVITY SPECIFICATION 1,2,3

The jury has to be instructed on every single one of these counts, plus decide guilt or innocence of all 22 Counts. A miracle if he walks away from 22 counts, especially with 2 co-defendants turning State's evidence.

So far I'm not seeing evidence against him on COUNT 20, INTERCEPTION OF WIRE, ORAL, OR ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS - Facebook hacking

GW4, proof already has been shown that he has assisted Jake in many ways, first he has shown aggression towards his wife and threatening LE/The Governor, there are supposed to be to up coming witness a mother and brother going to testify against him or they will be put on Death Row, GW4, new about the murders for 2 years and never said a word to the LE costing the tax payers of Ohio millions of dollars not counting what he put the victims family thru, the state has recording, Guns used to kill the victims with, that belonged to GW4, and if you really believe GW4 is innocent, and I’m saying this in a good way, this WS thread is justice for the Rhoden/ Giley victims, then again you might right about GW4 but I heard a few months ago in pre-trial court GW4 s attorneys told the court that GW4 was at the murder scene only to protect Jake (BS) so that is all the proof I need

this WS thread is justice for the Rhoden/ Giley victims,

It is actually:

Also, on page 1 of this thread Mod tiff23fr posted:

"This trial is expected to be very long, and with any case there will likely be topics or claims presented that one personally disagrees with. That is OK - everyone is entitled to share their point of view, as long as it is done within TOS, facts are linked, the essence of the comment is victim friendly, and other posters are not attacked for their own point of view."

Yes, I got it straight now. Great reminders to keep me on track.

Just a question for you all. Many times during CN's testimony I saw him looking in the direction of the defense table. Was he looking at Parker or was he making eye contact with George. I wonder what George's reaction was. I wish the camera had shown George during CN's testimony. Is there even a line of sight between the witness stand and the defense table?

I have to say, CN is my favorite witness so far, very believable and entertaining as well. He was so sincere when he would look at Judge Deering and apologize for using inappropriate language. :)

IMO, a nice kid.

Was brought up twice today, in the AW interview and the CN testimony.

Maybe Agent Eveslage has some more internet evidence?

I kept wishing the BCI man in Montana would stop interrupting AW when she was about to say something at certain times.

Unpopular opinion: George helped drag CR and GR to the bedroom, and more involved in this than I originally thought. If Jake was truly OCD, he’d avoid the blood. I’m also not convinced Jake shot as many ppl as he says. I think it’s entirely possible that he’s admitting to it to cover for brother since he’s the reason George is in this to begin with. So far my take is that GW was much more of a get it done, not afraid to get dirty kind of guy and JW was a spoiled momma’s boy who went with the flow/laid back, until he didn’t get his way
Your post makes complete sense to me in IMO. Additionally, GW probably has lived his life always trying to get AW's approval/love since JW is the favorite child (according to AW). I can see GW going along with the murders to gain family acceptance.
