Not that it is impossible, but i find it very hard to believe that a man would kill or be involved in killing his own sister, his niece, and 2 nephews. Then go on to kill his b.i.l. his brother, and their cousin.

Imho, this was a event to eliminate the R's as either partners, or competition. Tracking JM was probably more along the line of connecting someone else he is dealing with that may be involved.

The likelihood that one or more person's can kill 8 people at 4 different locations in more or less a 5 hour window, without obvious evidence being left behind, and those persons not being pros, is slim to none.

Add into the fact that these same people were on scene talking to police immediately afterward and you can almost eliminate slim.

I'm not sure how much you've followed this case, but it's pretty obvious that this crime was committed by someone that knew the family intimately.

1. DNA left by family members or anyone that frequented those locations would be useless for the most part.

2. There were guard dogs that wouldn't just let a stranger walk into the houses without alerting the family.

3. There were cameras at at least one location that were removed by the killers.

The whole drug angle has been WAY overblown from the beginning. "Pros" don't shoot people 9 times. 1-2 shots max and move on. This was personal

Leonard Manley told Dykes just because his son has now been charged with two felonies...... (Two felonies? What’s the second felony? I looked it up: tampering and vandalism)

The elder Manley said his son destroyed the device because James Manley thought it may have been placed on his truck by someone who intended to harm his family.
(I’d accept this excuse as an uniformed juror after hearing his sister and her entire family had been recently murdered.)

LM does not implicate the Wagners in this interview. (Hmm. Interesting.)

The charges were (paraphrasing) for (1) tampering with/removing the device and (2) destroying the device.

He's obviously in terrible pain about the loss of his daughter, the grandkids, etc. I also pick up on anger, frustration, and fear about what he can and cannot divulge about certain people with power. This man has been through so much. I hope when the truth comes out that it comes out fully and doesn't involve any more of his family.

But they didn't bother to retrieve it for 18 days. Why the delay?
Have they said the actual day the warrant was issued? I know they placed it on the 22nd and the last location was sent on the 28th. But I haven't saw the actual warrant issue date. Could be that they didn't have a safe chance to install it until later.

True, but what about her M realitives? He would still have to let them see her. I don't buy that no one knew about the mj which brings me back to W's motive.

I 100% agree JW or whomever isn't the only killer. I can't see one person pulling this off.

JM did take his daughter to visit her great-grandmother GR, and he has said that he would want a mandatory visitation order to see S's 1/2 sister if it turned out he was not the father. But, he's like any other adult parent, he wouldn't have to let S visit with her maternal side of the family if he didn't want to, unless the court awarded visitation rights to them. That will be the same for S's parent(s). It's not usually easy to win grandparent visitation rights either, but this would be great-grandparent visitation rights, and while IANAL, I'd think it would likely be more difficult to win the gp rights. It may be easier in Ohio. Different states have different laws, but grandparents normally don't fare too well.

no one is mentioning this so I'm assuming "killers" plural has been stated by MSM before?
"A $10,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the killers."

DeWine and Reader have said they believe there were at least 2 killers

ETA: First mentioned last August. Some have theorized it was partially the result of them viewing video of a hidden camera on CRSrs property that the killers missed. There was likely other evidence that also led to that conclusion.

I agree and in view of his plans to move up "north" to Canada or Alaska, I would say he has no intentions of following through with those statements he made concerning either GR or KYR. A bit too far for an old lady or baby to travel I would think. I think what he said right after the murders about that visitation was to show how much goodwill there was between him and HR's family. In other words he was blowing smoke to make himself look good.

Article about JM's arrest, with quotes from Pike Co prosecutor Rob Junk

"You don't see it a whole lot where somebody is cursing at a BCI agent, but Mr. Manley's reasons would only be known to himself," said Junk.

Junk said Manley is slated to appear in Pike County Court Wednesday morning for his arraignment.

As info, James Manley has no prior arrest record.

Looking at his mug shot, I'm not picking up a mass murderer vibe, though that's subjective. Anyone else?

Wonder why Junk is now being quoted in the news media? He usually stays behind the scenes, for good reason.

He's been accused of harassment by former employees, known to belittle plaintiffs, hostile work environment, yelling at female employees, acts in a threatening and intimidating manner.

Ineresting. First at Ross County, now at Pike.

Hope he gets an attorney.

Pike co probably called Ross co and had them pick JM up on the warrant then sent a sheriff to pick him up at Ross jail and transport him back to pike co.

I think they think his withholding some sort of information not that he did it. JMO of course. He went to check on and found DR. He took a tracking unit off a truck and stayed in town (regardless the reason he gives or actually thought pretty ballsy). Then the cops are like come home and his just like na ima stay here and work. If I read one news report correctly I think it said he was at home that night cutting the grass? He could be a total nut job but it doesn't sound to me like someone that is the least bit concerned about being a suspect of 8 family members murdered.

Now if something happened we are not aware of (attempted or aggravated murder per truck warrant) maybe JM is/was onto the actual suspect and was going to take matters into his own hands...

I don't think any of the people connected to the recent three search warrants have that vibe, at least from pics and social media.
The ambulance and SWAT team were at Gramma and Grampa's horse farm, they seem nice and unthreatening to me but the cops must have had a reason for such a show of force.

I think some of this depends on what you mean by "dating". I went on dates in 8th grade (at age 12/13). There were guidelines, and rules and perhaps they would have been different if I hadn't established and earned a lot of trust by that point. Somehow it all worked out.

Now as a mom of a little boy (close in age to RR actually) I admit that I pray everyday he makes it into adulthood safe and alive. I will also say that if my son had graduated high school and was getting involved with a young lady who hadn't yet started high school that would definitely give me pause. Honestly, if my son was neurotypical, (and so far he seems to be)I would question if the scenario was a bit predatory. I might not be able to stop the relationship but I wouldn't enable it and, because I am a mandatory reporter, if I couldn't be assured it was over I would likely have to report it. [Obviously there are nuances to this and I just pray I am never on either side of this with my son or daughter.]

Perhaps JW's mother or father had similar concerns. Or perhaps they were comfortable with HR and were under the mistaken belief that the relationship was not a sexual one. Or perhaps JW was not neurotypical and they felt HR was a comparable peer, in spite of the chronological age gap, for that reason.

They may have never heard of HR until well after they were seeing each other.
