Another day gone by, and still no sign of this precious couple, I pray for a miracle please god let them be safe! Bring them home to thier faimly and freinds who love them!!

Woke up hoping this precious couple had been found safe somewhere....this is tearing me up... I am so worried for them.

Has it been reported anywhere whether the investigators looking for SL and the Russel's went to the rest area to see if the car is still there OR perhaps checked the surrounding area of the rest stop for all 3 of them?

So SL and the couple were already on the road before Tiffany's body was found. For some reason, I thought the deputy ran the plates the night they were searching SL's house.

This scares me a bit more. I would think with all the news about Tiffany being found that that made him more desperate and who knows what else he would have done after. This is now the fourth day of the couple missing and still no sighting?

SL has nothing to lose at this point as he has already taken one life. I have a feeling that this vehicle may be in a wooded area somewhere and eventually all 3 of them will be found at some point.

I so want to know if LE went to the rest area and searched that area. No one was in that car, which means, all 3 of them had to get out of that car and maybe SL forced them out of the car in the woods, IF there is a wooded area.

SL was cleaver enough to hide Tiffany's body within the house he shared with Tiffany's mother, so SL is capable of hiding the Russel's too!

I wonder how well the russell's knew sam and deb and if they have had any contact with them after selling their house to them?

hopefully deb will have some insight into this.

do we know if the mortage for sam and deb's house is held by a bank? the reason i ask is because the previous owner of my sister's house "acted as the bank". my sister paid her mortgage to him.

found some info... the reporter doesn't mention how long sam rented the house from the russell's prior to buying it.

I believe it said somewhere that it was a matter of years that they rented the house before they bought it.

i'm noting these two different senarios....

1) [FONT=ARIAL, SANS SERIF]"We don't suspect the Russells went voluntarily," Dodds said. He added that, during a routine inspection for stolen vehicles, a state Highway Patrol trooper saw the Marquis at a rest area in Butler County on Wednesday night around 11:40 p.m., but the trooper didn't make contact with the occupants.

"Tennessee is becoming the focal point of a search for a missing elderly couple.

~~

The Russells have family in Tennessee, and that is why they believe the trio may be here."

Snip
Samuel Littleton has relatives in West Virginia and Tennessee and investigators believe he may be hiding in those states.

So does Littleton and the Russell have family in TN?

I wondering if the Russells might have a vacation home somewhere?

SL could have switched cars by now. I can't imagine him ever taking the couple with him. I sure hope they've checked their property with a fine tooth comb. What about dogs? If they used the dogs, couldn't the dogs possibly track their scent to know if the couple went towards where their car was normally parked etc.

Also, if the couple had the internet of their computer, I wonder if it would provide any clues as to where SL was heading.

I also am afraid the couple is no longer alive, and I was also curious as to what is near the rest area, that possibly he had either forced them to walk into woods, or the perp was there alone and had already harmed them. MOO

A vigil for Richard and Gladis Russell is scheduled for Wednesday in Brown Park in Bellefontaine from 7 to 9 p.m.

Sunday, February 20 2011, 11:28 AM EST

Praying they are found safe long before Wednesday.

I am praying they come home safely :prayer: however, if one or more of them is dependent on medication, and considering the suspect has already been charged with one murder, it may not turn out well. MOO

The fact that the Russells haven't been seen or heard from since Wednesday is of great concern here.

I do believe that Littleton has already switched vechiles. I just don't believe that he would have the Russells traveling with him.

One concern here is that Littleton may have went to another rest area somewhere along the highway and carjacked someone else. I do think think that he is taking the backroads and traveling at night.

That is an extremely busy rest area. Last one on I-75 before hitting the I-275 outerbelt around Cincy.

Never tried to link a map , hope this works.

ETA, SL may have taken Rte 68 from Bellefontaine to I-675 to I-75. Would be about a 90 minute drive but definitely a more rural route on Rte 68 before getting close to Springfield. Or he could have just got on I-75west of Bellefontaine near Sidney. I wish we knew.

I hope all stolen car reports within the areas LE believe he may be traveling are checked out...he may have already taken another car, but then why hasn't the Russells' car been found?

He may still have it, perhaps with stolen plates, or it may be in a ravine, lake, etc. I just hate to think what could've happened to this couple. MOO

Interesting...the great nephew says the car is not "green," but more of a silver-light-greenish color. He said compared to a "green" car, it would not look the same. I was picturing a dark green car in my mind's eye. I wish LE would post an accurate picture.
