The investigators and our office are of the belief that Ms. Al-Dhannoon is in fact deceased," Thomas said Monday. "Investigators are currently of the belief that, at minimum, this is a kidnapping, and probably a homicide."

The revelation came as 22-year-old Ammar Sami pleaded no contest to an obstruction of justice charge for lying to investigators in the days after the woman's disappearance to cover for a person of interest in the investigation that Thomas refused to name...

Judge Nancy Margaret Russo accepted Sami's plea to the third-degree felony and found him guilty. She ordered a pre-sentencing report and set his sentencing for May 25.

Lakewood Police searching for missing woman in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, OHIO - Lakewood Police have confirmed they are searching for a missing Lakewood woman in Cleveland's Brooklyn area.

Authorities are searching the wooded areas in the Memphis Avenue-Tiedeman Road neighborhood for Roaa Al-Dhannoon.

LAKEWOOD, OH (WOIO) - Lakewood police, with help from the FBI and other law enforcement agencies, have been investigating the disappearance of Roaa Al Dhannoon since Oct. 2016.

On Monday, authorities searched a wooded area along Big Creek in Brooklyn for evidence.

Authorities say a container buried along the creek was located and excavated. They said it contained biological remains.

Medical examiner confirms the body found in Brooklyn Monday is ROAA Al-DHANNOON. A woman who has been missing since October.

Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas P. Gilson and the Lakewood Police Department have released the identification of the body found buried in a container, behind an apartment building at 9840 Memphis Avenue on Monday, May 15.

The body, ID'd as Roaa S. Al Dhannoon was made through fingerprints.

An article from Jan. 18, 2018 states that the ex-husband, Fahad Saeed, was sentenced after pleading guilty to several charges:

A man was sentenced Thursday to 25 years in prison after admitting to strangling his ex-wife in 2016, then stuffing her body into a duffel bag and burying her remains as their 3-year-old son watched.

Fahad Saeed, 28, showed little remorse before Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Pamela Barker imposed the sentence.
